AMEX is not eligible as a preferred payment method of your seller fees which is why you don't see the Manage option in your account settings. You can continue to use your Master Card if that's currently working for you.

Manged payments do you mean???
Learn the laws of your country. That is still the major problem with you folks.

Can you clarify your question? I don't know what this means-
"see the manage option in the AMEX credit card in the Payments section"

When we go to the payments option, we can see the credit/debit cards that we have added for the eBay fees, refunds, etc. In there, my Master card is the only card that has the manage option.
According to this URL
saying,
"If an on-file payment method doesn’t have Manage as an option, this could be because it is not eligible as a preferred payment method or has expired."
But my AMEX card is not expired. I'm using it for my online payments as well. If that is due to our country's law, then I will handle that thing. But if not, how would I resolve this issue?

That means from the eBay side they won't allow us to use AMEX cards. Right? Yeah, I can use my Mastercard for future payments. Thank you for the valuable answer.

Correct.

Wow, I did not realize that AMEX was even still around. I stopped accepting those cards in my brick and mortar store well over 20 years ago as they wanted me to subsidize their imagined "prestige' factor by paying ridiculous rates. One of my last negative reviews on Yelp, an online platform where I was often referred to as "Mr. Rude", was a rant by some customer who was upset when I told him that when he came to shop at my store he could leave home without it.

There are some issues with American Express and managed payments. As revealed above, AmEx can't be used to pay your seller fees.
As discovered earlier this year- AmEx is not available as a payment method for buyers for certain items/categories-

those great improvements with managed payments

It has been an issue since at least March 2021. Anyone that runs into an issue with paying for an item with AMEX let AMEX know of the issue. It is best if you use there online chat and upload any screen shots you can. I have been doing that as I run into it. AMEX has been really good at getting back to me about it because eBay cannot show an AMEX logo and not accept it. That has been the heart of the issue. It seems to be in certain categories but now it is simply random and it has no bearing on how much an item is. I have seen it for $5 and $100 plus dollar items.
This single issue has pretty much made me stop shopping on the platform. I don't have this issue with anyone else. The funny part is that AMEX isn't declining any payments. It isn't getting that far. It won't let a user select an AMEX card or even type in past the first 2 digits of a new card number.

Here ya go: Amer Ex is a CHARGE card. The others are CREDIT cards. Not many know there's a difference.

Of course Amex is still around. I use it for everything as it has the best cash back available and other protections that MasterCard does not have. However, when I had my own Electrical Contractors business, I wouldn’t take Amex or Discover as they both charge the merchant a much larger fee for using both of these cards. The equipment for processing credit cards was also expensive then. Now with companies like “Square”, it’s much more affordable to let customer’s use credit cards.
I personally think ebay is already charging sellers enough money for selling items that they can afford to let sellers use Amex for their seller’s fees or manage options method. I pay my Amex off every month, and I also have a MasterCard , but it’s for instances where Amex is not available. So, I requested a $500.00 limit on the card. I see both sides of this situation, but eBay can afford to pay the percentage difference or take it out of the final purchase fee. I kept trying to figure out why I couldn’t update my Amex that was on file that had expired, so now I know. I guess I will not be selling as much on eBay as I originally planned because I have had several issues with people getting my MasterCard number and charging it up to the maximum amount. It use to have a $10,000.00 limit and someone hacked into the account and I lost about $8,500.00. That’s why I got the lowest limit I could get them to give me just in case I get in a bind and need to pay for something like gas or whatever else and I will reluctantly use my Mastercard. I’ve tried one through Chase Bank and Citi Bank and trying to actually talk with an individual, not some automated process, is nearly impossible. I had about six different credit cards at one time, all of which I payed off in full monthly, but I decided that I didn’t really need 6 cards and I kept two. I don’t have any revolving debt on any credit cards and that’s great right now as many people are using them to live on and it’s hard to get out of credit card debt. Been there in my early 20’s. I got a loan to pay off the debt as it kept growing and I was paying twice the monthly payment. Credit cards are not exactly transparent when your like 19yrs old about how hard it is to get them payed off. Miss one payment date and the interest rate automatically jumps to the highest level they can legally charge people.
Frankly, I love my Amex and I get a lot of cash back from them and they have taken care of any issues with products that I purchased online and never received or it was not exactly what they said the item was. Amex is great at protecting the customer from these shady seller’s and bait and switch items.

The difference is that a “Charge Card” has to be paid off monthly and a “Credit Card “ lets you carry revolving debt. Or month to month debt. This is how these big banks get rich. Miss one payment or send a late payment in and the interest rates go to the highest interest rate allowed by law. Some states have capped the interest rates and others have let it go up to the lower 30% in interest charges. Amex is not like it use to be as they have several different options and they have cards that allow you to let debt carry over from month to month. If I can’t afford to outright buy something and pay it off at the end of the month, I’m either going to get a loan from my bank or set up some sort of in house credit option. But there’s a few Amex cards that don’t require the user to pay the full amount at the end of the month. One thing that I like about my Amex card is that if I buy something from Japan, as I have a supplier there who sends me vinyl LPs and Japanese CDs and I don’t get a large foreign transaction fee like I do with MasterCard.
Above , I mentioned that I only have two cards, but I forgot that I have a Discover card which has credit protection from the top three credit protection services that will notify me of any issues or possible fraudulent charges on all of my credit cards. I don’t use the card or carry it with me, but I keep it in my desk drawer. That’s exactly how I found out someone had got access to my Mastercard account. I got a notification that it had unusual activity on the card. It allowed me to stop the fraudulent activity from getting worse.
Amex also has a built in protection system as well. It will not allow me to charge anything from a retail store if I’m in another state until I call them and verify that it is indeed me charging the items. They will usually ask me how long I plan to be out of state so I don’t have to keep calling them back. I generally let them know that I will be traveling out of state or overseas and it’s not an issue. At first I thought it was embarrassing and aggravating, but I lost my card in another state as I left it on a table at a restaurant. Someone found it and tried to buy a small item, less than $5.00 to see if they could get away with it. Luckily they didn’t. I immediately got a phone call and text message from Amex and they issued me a new card which I received like a day or so later. It’s happened to me twice now when I have been out of my state for unforeseen circumstances and I just step aside and call them and verify that I have the card and then pay for whatever I’m trying to purchase. It’s better to have this protection and some small inconveniences than have someone ruining and running up my card balance. They could run it up to the point that I would have to sell off some of my investments if they decided not to drop the charges.
