Since the new Seller Hub (Sept), I've been down 50 to 75% in monthly sales. As of today, I have 2 sales from Feb 1st thru Feb 13th for a total of $34.98. Last year in Feb, I had 61 sales for the month for a total of $1,604.18. This year I have twice as many items listed. There is a MAJOR PROBLEM of some kind. Sad.

The rule of thumb on ebay is 1 sale a month per 1,000 listing. On Amazon it's 1 sale per month per 10 listings.

It's that time of the year. Too much snow and thick ice to get around to do any buying. I can't wait til Mid Apr when most of the snow is gone, and it begins to warm up some, and I can get back to hunting for lots.

Beautiful day here in RI. Sun is out and temperatures are above normal.
But of course on Saturday night a coastal storm is supposed to hit us with snow, and I have to drive to Logan to pick my daughter up at the airport.
April cannot get here fast enough for me.

I had slow sales October + November I decided to move to another direction. Along as listing my items I have put out flyers to sale other peoples items. I have had a profit after expenses and giving the people I am selling for their cut 1,800.00 for January and right now in February a profit of 1,400.00. All of last year I made 5,600 in profit. So far so good.

I have a 1/2" of ice on my driveway. Too cold to melt. Sun just makes it smoother.

My Aug, Sept, Oct, & Nov sales were fine while Dec tanked with about 400.00 in sales on this account. and now zero sales for the past month, compared to 4000.00 in Nov. I'm lucky in the fact that I don't have a shortage of items to sell, as I'm always buying.

Maybe in your area, but here in Memphis it is BEST market to go for organic/whole foods, and they are over stocked beyond our needs.
Since, Amazon just newly purchase the Whole Food chain you may want to give them a foot hold before throwing in the towel??
Extremely pleased thus far with the new owner*Amazon* ..they have turned a failing business around in a few short weeks.

Oldstuffbrad, hey guys I have some information I researched myself that I think everyone should be aware of. Well your sales are dropping in part because less people buy from this site (Ebay) than 12 months ago, and sadely in 12 months there will probably be less buyers than today.
Ebays total sales for 3/2017 Quarter where 2.2 Billion, Ebays total sales for 3/2018 Quarter were 2.5 Billion. Thats an increase of 300 million in revenue. But wait, when you factor in listing fee increases (.10 increase), 5% more Ebay takes for selling items of over $50 dollars. and store price increases plus the reduction in top rated discounts (All theses fees where changed in the year time frame I took the data). When you factor in these fees, the actual amount Ebay makes from selling actual items has decreased.
So in short, less people are buying from Ebay than 12 months ago and their actual revenue from selling is decreasing. Basically they are canabilizing there own business at this point. They are increasing revenue purly on the sellers now.
This is what I don't understand., why would someone (us the sellers) pay more in listing costs, fees and subscriptions to a platform that has decreasing visability and customers than I year ago? Don't get me wrong I love Ebay, your will still be able to sell the right things in 10 years from now, im not saying it will go away. Just try not to be 100% dependent on it. It is just sadely becoming less important of a site. I hope someone reads this because I spend way to much time on it. Best Regards, Jake.
