So apparently there is no way to stop these useless email notifications! All my shipping label communication preferences are turned off. And now I see people have been complaining about this for over a year. Is there any other way to stop them? Just checking in case I missed something.

Ha ha ha!! I know right! At first I was pleasantly surprised when I signed up for managed payments and I was no longer getting those "payment to ebay shipping" emails from paypal every time I paid for a label, THEN all of the sudden I started getting an instant email from ebay saying "Your label is ready" or something to that effect. As if I didn't know that... I'm only PRINTING MY LABELS INSTANTLY TO SHIP THEM OUT!!!
Thanks ebay for the notice. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have the reminder that I just purchased the label 2 seconds ago.
If they put half the amount of energy it took the genius to make that up as "an idea" into not messing up our sales patterns we'd all be making more money we would know what to do with.

Thanks, but you get our point.

HA HA! I just checked that "shut off list" you posted under preferences and guess what! I DID have that email tab shut off but I still get those emails!!
I've BEEN getting those emails the whole time despite already having them shut off!

You must not have actually tried before typing the rather self righteous reply. The "shipping label created" email still comes even if you turn off the coincidentally labeled "shipping label created" check box.
Does it make sense...no it doesn't. But sadly, it is true. I have done this and given it a week to take effect. No avail. Considering this is my full time job like many of the rest of you, I have about 200-300 useless emails per day to delete. Ridiculous. Ebay should keep its communications to out eBay inbox. Furthermore....what is the point in telling me I just created a shipping label?? I realize. Who needs reminded of what they just did?

This isnt a bad idea. Its a shame it has to be that way. I hate having two email addresses for the business. I am considering moving over to outlook, where I can filter emails automatically into folders by sender.

It took me a bit of doing to get the filters right but I finally got a filter setup on my email account that automatically filters these and moves them to trash. Took a bit of tweaking since you cannot do it by the sender or you miss all the eBay emails, I had to do it by the subject line content. Not sure if your email provider offers you the ability to filer your mail but this may be an option.

Can you share which provider you use? I loved having this set up when I worked in my previous job. I was under the impression this was only an option in outlook? I have iCloud right now, but would be open to switching if need be.
Thanks!!

Yes, there is another way to stop them...
Set up a filter in your email client:
All email coming from @ebay.com that has title "Your ebay label is ready" Delete it.
Yes, the email still wastes resources, perhaps we should let them "know what we think."

Yes, as you read through the thread further you will find where brian@ebay stopped by and he is reporting this issues. While we can turn these off in our site preferences as I previously stated, they are not actually getting turned off anymore.

You just need to read the rest of the thread. This was discussed and reported days ago.

Your correct. Yet, there are people who are providing false info and do nothing all day but post.
Alot of the ebay site preferences no longer work. Even ebay admits this! Like the one where you haven't opted into Guaranteed delivery, but ebay decides you have and shows it on your listings anyway.

Why this became an issue to re-discuss is interesting since this had been hashed out, and as I said earlier Brian popped in and offer some information and is getting the issue reported to the proper team.
YES I posted some incorrect information and earlier this month ON THIS THREAD that was acknowledged by me and Brian popped in and has reported the issue.
Now more current posts seem to want to rehash this and my earlier mistake on this thread. IDK why it is important to you or others as I openly admitted that the preferences are not working. But if it makes you feel better I guess that is reason enough.

A lot of posters reply to individual posts as they go instead of reading a discussion and replying once or maybe twice at the end. There was another poster who used to do that all the time - castlerainbowsomething. There would be strings of 4, 6, 8 posts in a row from them. You can't force everybody to read first then reply second - even if that is proper internet etiquette.
To you it's a re-hashing of something already settled, to those posters it's fresh and new and they didn't get to the end of the story yet.
Not saying I like when posters do that - just saying that's the cause of what you're seeing.

My label is printed and applied to the package before I get the email saying its ready.
Gee...thanks. I'll go check on my label.
Yup, there it is.

People aren't required to read entire threads. Stop acting like yours is the only opinion that matters. Maybe you should take up knitting.
DON'T TAG ME!! I won't read it.
