MC011 - Tracking

Got the MC011 email that I never knew existed until tonight. It says its for “Provide proof of delivery for all of the items you sold on eBay by uploading tracking.” I replied to the email and alerted them to the location of all tracking for all items so they could verify.

1902 feedback, 100% positive. Literally 0 negative feedback ever. 14 years on eBay buying and selling.

Every item I sell is shipped through eBay shipping. So every item has tracking uploaded automatically (and I checked and it’s all there on the account). There is no external shipping or uploads to do. It’s all done through eBay.

So I cannot for the life of me figure out why I would get this email, get all my listings deleted, and be told that I need to provide proof of tracking/delivery when eBay already has all of that for every item I have ever sold.

From reading dozens of threads on this, CS was obv no help. But now I am supremely annoyed this may take 60-90 days or more to resolve when there appears to be no issue at all. So if anyone has any tips to help move the ball quicker, I would greatly appreciate it.

It shows you still have 1600 listed.

Even though Ebay has all the tracking information, you still have to upload the tracking numbers showing all the items were delivered.

Have a great day.

I was able to relist the BIN at direction of CS. But it’s locked now for any new listings. So it is official.

All the tracking numbers ARE uploaded. They are listed on every order and show “delivered” (or “in transit”, for the ones not yet delivered).

For example, here’s a snapshot of part of my recent order page on eBay. E460DCA0-5BE5-4ED7-B68C-E9844CD875C4.jpeg

eBay databases don't like to share info.  This has been apparent with the INR reports since day one -- they know the order and order date, but they can't find the tracking number?  That's just dumb.  And lazy - that 'oversight' should have been eliminated a very very very long time ago.  However... if you're too busy to do it right the first time, when do you expect to find the time to do it over?

I am so happy that I don't sell here any more.  All this would make me insane.

Posts like yours show up on occasion on this forum and I have never been able to figure out what causes this or how eBay elects to target certain sellers. It is also one of the most ludicrous things eBay does to sellers that already have tracking numbers associated with all of their orders. As you, and others, have noted eBay already has the tracking information but they are too incompetent to be able to check/confirm actual delivery.

Your MC011 case is even more interesting given a large number of your items went through eBay's authentication center. Who knows maybe that is what triggered the MC011 and eBay is using the seller to make sure the authentication center is doing their job and forwarding the items either to the seller or back to the buyer once the authentication process is completed.

You're making it worse by not uploading the tracking as requested, regardless of "how it should be".

Correct on auth center. About 15% of mine go through there too. All shipped no issue from there to buyer.

I scoured back through all prior orders going back 120 days and did find ONE order that has no tracking because it was a digital code and buyer asked me to just message it rather than mail the card with the code on it. But that buyer left positive feedback that it arrived.

I cannot imagine this MC011 thing over one no tracking uploaded order where the buyer confirmed receipt through feedback, but maybe thats it? That would seem insane.

All tracking is uploaded. It was uploaded when the item shipped. It is attached to every item.

There is nowhere to “re-upload” tracking.

Regardless of the fact that eBay already has the tracking, you still have to provide the requested data by uploading it to the email address given. Follow the  instructions to the letter if you want to keep your selling privileges. An MC011 is a serious matter.

This is literally the only instruction given: “Provide proof of delivery for all of the items you sold on eBay by uploading tracking.”

It has been uploaded. I am confused by you and another who keep saying you have to upload it. It’s already uploaded. They didn’t ask me to email them the tracking numbers. They asked me to upload the tracking. And that is already done. There is nowhere to “re-upload” tracking that I can find.

You are selling lots of expensive stuff there. I think eBay is spooked. Not just because the stuff is very expensive and put them on the hook if things go wrong, but also they are trying to figure out where you are getting all this stuff from. It is unfortunate that the three neutrals you have are for you cheaper items. I hate it when I see buyers leaving negative or neutral feedback for cheap items not caring how it affects the seller.

This I think is about eBay trying to figure out where you are getting all these cards from. My advice is just go with it and sell and deliver on time like you are already doing. When eBay sees you are no risk, they will probably lift the restriction. Good luck.

I’d be more than happy to provide them every receipt for every box of cards I’ve bought. That’s easy. But that’s not what they’ve asked for (yet). That would honestly make more sense.

The three neutrals are funny. One is guy who refused to pick the package up from post office who was holding it when he wasn’t home (no idea why based on value, should have just been left; I refunded him and they RTS). The other two were both delivered within the eBay estimated delivery time.

I’ve replied noting all the tracking is on each item and asking them what other info they need or what they’d like me to provide. We’ll see what they say I guess.

If it had been a question of sourcing eBay would have requested receipts or other proof of seller purchase of the items. All they are asking for in this case is proof of delivery.
