I have been trying to get my account unrestricted for over a month. I just recieved a reply from ebay. They are saying my laptop invoices from mercari are not valid because they do not show credit card info. Mercari only has 1 kind of invoice on their site. Apparently there's a way to get a more detailed invoice from Mercari according to the ebay trust and safety rep I spoke to. Anyone know what they are talking about???

The info I uploaded to reactivate my account was declined again. I did call ebay again and spoke to someone in trust and saftey department. They went over the documents I uploaded and confirmed that everything looks good. She told me to add note for whoever reviews that my account stating that the items I have sold were personal and I do not use distributors. She also said my account should be reactivated by 72hours. I've heard this before but I'm still hopeful...

This is a great board to be on if you sell on Mercari. There is also an eBay board too on Reddit. Might get faster help from the Mercari Reddit community 🙂

Mercari has the worst customer support and is the worst selling platform out there. This is my opinion after having account there for casual use since they started.

If Mercari is anything like eBay the phone reps are subcontracted, poorly trained, and have little authority.
The phone reps do not work for eBay so don't bother with them. They work for a subcontractor out of Utah.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.
Transcripts are very useful, so annoying as Chat may be, you have time to read over what you are telling them and they have time to consider your pleas and complaints.

It's also a very bad idea to find phone numbers online, rather than on the website of the company you are dealing with.
At best, someone posted a number that was active ONCE and the company changes their phone numbers constantly for security reasons.
At worst, you get a scammer who will charge you to "fix" the problem but has nothing to do with the company you were dealing with.

Has eBay stated you have been permanently restricted? Cuz the customer service on Facebook and Twitter would/should be more sensitive to the issues you experiencing. The only time i have known them not to be is when the final blow comes down.

Yeah I heard the same thing but when I tried they either ignored me or told me there's nothing I can do and I'm screwed.

Well.... I just got the dreaded perminate suspension notice from ebay. I provided everything they asked for but they still suspended me.
I have over 6k in funds anyone know what's gonna happen to my money??

Well, you'll find out on Tuesday if your funds are transferred to your checking account.
