Low or no sales

Hello - the discussion I started seemed to have disappered.

Is anyone else experiencing drastic drop in sales or no sales at all for days.  We have no sales at all for almost two weeks now during the day from 7 am to mid night.  there are couple of exceptions.  any sale that happened only after mid night and maybe early before 7 am. 

Is anyone aware of anything that is causing this drop in sales.  I appreciate your input.  

Why did my last discussion I started on this disappear?  Am I not supposed to talk about that here?

Market for our type of stuff is down due to a change in trends, however that has been so for a while now. I do hope it gets better for you too. Hopefully the answer will be found. I keep telling myself to just keep listing and eventually it will break.

Yes I agree, we are dead in the water for  the last 3 days this week... I've noticed that even the views have not changed.

Well, it seems that sales drop just before school starting August and first couple of weeks in September as people are buying school supplies and school clothes, school tuitions etc. by the end of the month August sales should start picking up.. Or I hope they do any ways.

I don't know if  the changes with Seller Hub are what's causing the low  sales... I had better sales the first week I was on eBay back in 2005!   BUT... I guess it's something to read I'm not alone.  I hope this will all  be sorted out  as my customer following on eBay and the auction format have been the sole reasons I've stayed and not gone to Etsy.

I am sorry that there is more than one seller experiencing the lack of sales. It's happening to me to the point where I thought I was doing something wrong. We depend on the extra daily earning to supplement social security. I'm hoping this lack of sales goes away for all of us, whatever is causing it. Good luck to all.

Sales have dropped drastically and have auctions ending tonight with no bids at all.  Something isn't right and they need to get it fixed, it's not fair. I'm sure they would'nt discount the fees due to this.

Hi the worst possible timing payed of a load on my credit cards now im making next to nothing .I feel Ebay is trying to get rid of the second hand buyers .
When did China get on Ebay ?

Yes, it seems to come in spurts, many sales all at once, or nothing. It is almost like eBay has an on/off switch. Also, eBay did not give me credit for two transactions ( uploading tracking information ). I sent out the items within the day of the sale, but eBay, due to technical issues, did not give me credit for it. Because of their errors, I am close to losing my top seller status. They told me that they can't do anything about it!!! I am very upset!!! I have worked so hard to be a top seller, and now may lose it due to their technical problems! They just don't care at all about sellers.

Sales were getting better at the end of last month and the first of this month.  Now suddenly this week has been dead.  I don't get it, if  you watch the people on Youtube or instagram most are doing good, I don't get it and I'm getting dicouraged.  I try to list everyday thinking this might help, but it hasn't.  I'm lost to why sales are awful.

Found my sales suddenly dropped since June.  When I search my items, it was not on the first few pages as before.  And the best match only showed all US sellers.  People sell in a higher price and less good conditions rank higher.  I called  the local manager and he said ebay has changed the best match alogorithm.  There seems to be a calculation of location on the buyers behalf.  Then I think it is not fair for the buyers.  This change actually did not serve the best for the buyers.  Even though I put the price much lower than the local sellers, the buyers could not find my listing.  I have been selling in ebay since 2005 and this is the slowest time I had.   I consider that ebay is not treating me as a partner at all.  I have even placed an ebay promotion (need to pay additional) and it is not helping much.  Any idea I can come up to the top page.

I am having the same problem- in a search my item comes all the way down the listings even though lower in price and shipping, one day shipping, returns accepted, perfect item.  I have 100% feedback but I only receive feedback for maybe 1 in 7 items sold - even though no complaints. I noticed in a listing same as mine - the seller gets lots of feedback for same category of items sold **bleep**! I think eBay should do something about this feedback problem because it is important for sales that a seller establishes himself as a good seller. I am noticing that a lot of sellers are leaving eBay - in my opinion it is no wonder! Very little help for sellers definitely a buyers market - as for myself I am contemplating moving on to another selling venue that is more fair to the seller.

My sales were lower as well---only receiving targeted promotions----have not received and additional free listings for my store for a couple of months-----wanted to contact Ebay---could not get through the maze to anyone---!!!!

Thought there might be an algorithm change somewhere, shame we have not been told or figured out how to get our listings to work with it 😕

Well don't forget there are two huge hurricanes happening right now.  I think Harvey did $180 billion in damage?  And it doesn't just effect people in Houston, it effects their families in other places who support them.  It also doesn't help people's overall mood.
