Buyer bought some Levis on 11/20, shipped out UPSP Priority on 11/22. tracking shows pkg made it to Portland Oregon that evening then nothing for a week. One more tracking entry at 2:00a.m. 11/29 in Tennessee. Package supposed to be going to Oklahoma. Buyer is being understanding so far, but estimated delivery date was 11/26. I just spoke with my post office, they were absolutely no help at all. I’ve been communicating with the buyer, and gave him the choice of continuing to wait or getting refunded. I did ask him that if he chooses a refund, could he kindly write “Return to Sender” on the package and send it back. Any other ideas? Happy Holidays😖

Some of those odd destinations may be because USPS like every carrier today uses Spoke and Hub delivery.
And some may be just a typo.
The point is to keep the customer happy until the parcel does arrive.
Then you can try for a USPS refund on the shipping cost.

It's moving again, so hang in there. I've had packages destined for Indiana that end up in Guam. It happens.
Keep the buyer posted.

You did your due diligence. Buyer will most likely understand. Claim with USPS. Though if it is delivered between now and claim...You probably will be denied. Yeah up to buyer to return to sender...

It stinks when mail services are delayed...it's rare but you most likely come out the loser....

It looks like USPS corrected the routing and the last scan was only 3 days ago. The USPS was just inundated with post-Thanksgiving packages. Give it some more time. If the buyer wants the item they'll wait a bit longer.

Keep communicating with the buyer. Establish a good rapport. Keep him up to date even if there is no movement. Assure him that the package will show up eventually. If at all possible get the buyer to wait i out.
If not, I've given refunds before in cases like this. Each and every time the buyers have paid me when they received their package. Hopefully your buyer is honest.
Good luck.

If the time comes when you have to open a 'Lost Package' claim with USPS, you're given the option to send it on to the recipient or to return it to you. If you've already refunded by then, just choose the latter. Good luck to you.

On a package that's eventually delivered? USPS will not refund the postage. Not even a chance.

That is 100% correct.
