Location of watchers?

I know it's a long shot but is there any way to just see the zip code of someone watching an item?  I'm frugal with my offers only cause I'm on the west coast.

Re: Location of watchers?

We do not have access to any information about watchers other than the number.

You can see a registered zip if the buyer makes an offer - but even then that's just their registered address. Does not mean that buyer isn't going to change the address at checkout to have a gift shipped directly to Uncle Bob across the country.

@tthodgepodge It is not possible but wouldn't matter either way. From eBay's policy-- Your primary shipping address is the default we’ll provide to sellers when you buy an item. However, you can always select a different address, or add a new one, during checkout.

Re: Location of watchers?

Simple answer, NO.

Why does it matter.  You can't control what zip code purchases from you.

If you are concerned about the cost of shipping, then you can do calculated shipping or set your shipping charge at the higher rate for shipping cross country.

Re: Location of watchers?

Unless you are offering free shipping it shouldn't matter.

Re: Location of watchers?

Use calculated shipping and you will never again have to be frugal with your offers.

If you click on "View listings" below the OP's ID, you can see that they offer free shipping on 209 of their 220 items.

Re: Location of watchers?

Why should you care where your potential buyers are located? Every buyer's money is just as green as every other and a sale is a sale!

In fact, presumably, that's why you use ebay - to reach a wider audience than you'd have access to if selling locally.

Re: Location of watchers?

He's saying shipping to the east coast would eat at his margin to much if he sent them an offer. So he only wants to send offers to people near him.

Re: Location of watchers?

This is a older thread.  Likely the OP has figured out what works best for them by now.
