Local Pick UP

Sold an item on eBay. Buyer purchased and payed for item. I have free shipping listed. Buyer lives nearby and wants to pick up item which is great because I will not be charged for shipping. However, I did not list local pick up as an option. I am trying to reach 100% for On Time  Shipment Rate & 100 % for Tracking Uploaded on Time and Validated.  Since no label will be printed or  validated, how do I prevent a hit on my Selling Level matrix? Thanks

@buddyboyusa

The "correct" eBay way would be to cancel the order and relist with local pickup as an option and have your buyer repurchase the item with local pickup.

The "incorrect" way would be to ship a thank you note or empty 4 oz box to the buyer with tracking. Of course, you will be at the mercy of the buyer if they choose to file an item not as described case or return request. You would be forced to pay for return shipping and/or be forced to give a full refund.

Do not want to bother the buyer. I will just take the hit and start including local pickup as an option. Thanks for the reply.

Take the hit for which one? Possible buyer claiming not received and you lose out on the payment, or take the hit by not getting 100% for the tracking seller metrics?

While I see many complaints about buyers, I don't have any issues with at least 99% of my buyers.

Mark your item as shipped when picked up. Since you are helping out your buyer, ask them to leave feedback and mark the item received on time - I believe that prevents a late shipping defect. Not sure how the no uploaded tracking number plays out.
