Listings no longer showing the yellow flag when handling time is extended?

Right below the 'Buy it Now' button.

I don't know if it's just me but I'm not seeing this on anyone listing anymore? quite a problem as buyers won't see unless they click the 'shipping' (more info) and then pay attention to that handling time?

Anyone else NOT seeing it?

@stainlessenginecovers  That makes more sense, as it seemed odd that you would have a screen shot from 2 years ago.  Not impossible of course.  Well, I did page eBay above, so hopefully we can get confirmation that this was an intended change, however it's not a good one, but no one checked with us.

I'd be interested to know what percentage of sellers use 5 days or more, but I don't think that data will be forthcoming.  If it's a smaller percentage than I would guess, maybe it's not that big of a deal.

@simply-the-best-for-you for what I do and for my competition; it was VERY important to have that- as many of my competition used to show it and they were MANY days later than I was.

Although, many customers never paid attention and that is why I had that 'screen shot' as it is actually a 'saved' thing that I re-used and sent to buyers for the past 5+ years.

That's disappointing!  The yellow highlight is what drew the buyer's eyes to it!  That highlight has saved me many times when I've been on vacation.

kyle@ebay  elizabeth@ebay devon@ebay   Can one of you please check to see if this is a bug or an intentional "feature"?  This is really NOT a good idea.

Hey @simply-the-best-for-you and  @stainlessenginecovers  I'm not aware of any changes made to the Time Away banner.  Do either of you have an item number that currently has Time Away without the banner?  I'd love to have a current example to get this in front of the right eyes.

kyle@ebay  I, myself, was not referring to 'vacation/time away'- just the everyday view of an item. Even 10+ day 'handling' doesn't show any more and buyers will NOT see it having to 'click' the 'shipping' tab and scrolling down, reading as we all know you can't even get most buyers to read a description anymore.

Re: Listings no longer showing the yellow flag when handling time is extended?

kyle@ebay   @stainlessenginecovers  is correct, nothing to do with Time Away.  Simply ANY listing with a Handling Time of over 5 days used to have a yellow highlighted banner.  Examples of both the new & old way in the first post of the thread.   To confirm, just change the Handling Time of any listing to >5 days.

Re: Listings no longer showing the yellow flag when handling time is extended?

Seeing same problem here, the yellow flag has been removed, this is going to create false expectations when handling time is set up correctly but buyers don't read it and start instantly complaining. Handling time is a necessity and has to be displayed and the yellow flag should be there to catch the eye. Half the time buyers didn't pay attention anyway, but now its going to be worse that its not there and create arguments back and forth. Like other members said nothing to do with time away, this has to do with handling time. And whos fault will it be when a buyer opens a case/funds are pulled instantly because they didn't see it or read? The sellers of course.

@norskmediashop  and that's why I created the 'template' used in my opening post- to send back to any 'complaining' customer for the past 10 years, along with an 'apology' first (just to 'un-arm' etc.).... but now without it, will really be a problem as now it's only seen in my written description (and in a place provided by ebay that NOT ONE buyer would EVER look at).

Re: Listings no longer showing the yellow flag when handling time is extended?

Thanks for pointing that out, yes really same boat here its in our descriptions, but like you said buyers are not reading descriptions anymore, mainly because ebay has hidden and or buried them, or there are so many other sellers stuff being advertised before a buyer can scroll down to even see there is a description. All very stupid moves on ebays part, its becoming impossible here but always the sellers fault. This was a problem before the yellow flag was removed but now with that gone, its going to be that much harder. Can not even explain how many times a buyer has bought something then complained about a detail or a size etc, that was clearly stated in the description. Of course this is sort of a separate issue than the yellow flag but in a way it all goes together.
