Listing 4 items of the same thing. Want to list one of these with shipping charges. Want to sell more than one item with free shipping. How can this work?

You cannot have BOTH free shipping and charge for shipping in the same listing. You need to create a separate listing for "free shipping".

On the listing, it asks you what quantity you have of the item to sell. Enter 4 there. Then this will change the listing to ask you about shipping for 1 item or for more than one. List the shipping price you want to charge for the first one, then where it asks for shipping costs for additional items, enter 0 there.

Yes you can.
You create a listing with the quantity = 4, and set the shipping amount for "additional items" to $0.

Hey @navydisposaleer
Are you asking how to set up a listing with:
- Charge shipping for the first item, free shipping for each additional item?
or
- Buy more than 1 and get free shipping on the entire order?
Each of these set ups requires a different process.

I think you can only do it with flat rate shipping......... see where it says "additional cost"......that would be 0

I think I can price the first item to include the shipping, then reduce the unit price for the remaining 3 items so they will have "free shipping" via price reduction. That might be the best way.
