Listing: should I have one store for clothing and another for "stuff"

When you are looking at someone's items, is it distracting to see all kinds of everything - like clothes, toys, books, household items, and "stuff" all in the same store? I only sell clothing in my store. I have another ID where I sell things that aren't clothes. I'm thinking of moving everything into the store.

Just looking for your thoughts on it. Thanks!!

I think it would be a good idea if you sell a lot of clothing, to keep it separate from the other items, Also if you have enough items or intend to have enough items to open the other store, then go for it.

I tend to agree with keeping the items to clothing only and using the second ID for either the Free listings or Store. Normally i think most buyers search for their items and don't care what other things sellers list but they do have 260 followers.

The bigger question i would have for them is if they really need a store or is it a waste of money? They don't have a lot of items currently listed.

I think that small "stores" have little to  gain.

Now that Ebay has given us the ability to see our store visit total, I think it may be easier to know whether your 260 followers are helping your business or not.

If you do not have much store traffic, I think it might not be worth any extra effort to have a second store. But if you have decent (whatever that is) traffic it might help to make life simpler, and perhaps create store categories to make it easier for your followers to find what they want to buy.

Have you thought about creating categories for your store so that you can organize it?  That's what I've done... although I do not sell clothing, I do sell in about 7 or 8 different categories and everything is pretty well organized for someone who visits.

Good points. I have been selling for 26 years on eBay. Inventory is low because of pure laziness! I'm about to really start working on listings. I have a house FULL of clothing and stuff! Thanks.

Ebay is meant for stuff. There are a lot of other online retailers meant for clothing only. So it's quite common to the see misc items in any given ebay store. Even drug stores sell stuff that isn't medical related.
