Listing error

Haven’t posted for a while and want to check etiquette. Just created a buy it now listing for an item for £55, I pressed wrong button, it went to draft, I then clicked list. Within minutes I have an auction bid for 99p - can I end the listing and relist with the correct buy option and price I want? I read can only cancel if not available….

Thanks for guidance.

Re: Listing error

you are posting on the US board......and most of us are sellers from the US.......but the rules in UK may be different.......  I urge you to ask on the UK board.

Re: Listing error

As noted in the other post, you're on ebay.com, which is the US site. You need to go to

https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Discussion-Boards/ct-p/13

Here in the US, the eBay policies can be different.  Here, you can cancel an auction after it has received bids, but you might be charged the final value fee as a penalty to discourage sellers from making a habit of early cancellation.  During the cancellation process, be careful to select the option to end bids, rather than the option to sell to the high bidder.

AFAIK eBay does not care much about sellers' reasons for canceling auctions early.  They do have serious penalties for canceling transactions after an item is Sold.
