Hello,
I am listing a bikini set. I have three of the same set in different sizes. I have seen listings where buyers must choose a top size and bottom size in order to add to cart. I would like to recreate this.
For tops I have 34 C, 34 C, and 32 DD. For bottoms I have S, S, and M. I would like buyers to be able to mix and match.
Here is what I have tried:
Add variations "top size" and "bottom size." For top size I added "34 C" and "32 DD." For bottom sizes I added "S" and "M." When I clicked "continue," here are the options that came up:
34 C, S
34 C, M
32 DD, S
32 DD, M
I only have one 32 DD top and one M bottom, so I deleted option "32 DD, M" because I don't want a buyer to be able to order 32 DD or M if they no longer in stock. The problem is that now buyers cannot select top size 32 DD and bottom M together.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

You would have to make a variation for EVERY POSSIBLE COMBINATION.
I'm not familiar with bikini tops and bottoms but let's say there are 3 sizes of tops (S/M/L) and 3 sizes of bottoms (S/M/L).
You would need these variations...
S top w/ S bottom
S top w/M bottom
S top w/L bottom
M top w/S bottom
M top w/M bottom
M top w/L bottom
L top w/ S bottom
L top w/M bottom
L top w/L bottom
9 different variations to cover each and every possible combination.

You can’t do that through the app, you’ll need to use the desktop version in the classic listing form (not the quick form).
What you’re talking about is setting up Variations. You’ll see the Create Variations section on the listing form.
I haven’t used variations in a long time, so hopefully someone will come along and give you more details.

Ok great thanks for your response.
Is there a way for me to indicate that there is only one M in stock for example? So when someone orders the size M, all the other combinations with size M need to "go away" so it is not an option to order M anymore. Is there a way to do this? Even if I have two combinations with M?

I don't think that can be done.
You just have to keep a close eye on your inventory and set to "0" any variation that is no longer available.

I sell cosmetics so variations are a feature I use a lot.
Does a buyer need to purchase a top and bottom?
I would sell the pieces separately within the listing.
For example:
32DD (top) list as 1
34C (top) list as 2
Small (bottom) list as 2
Medium (bottom) list as 1, etc
