Listing Fees I STOP AT 50 TILL NEXT MONTH

Im at 48 with 2 left for the month. Because of the listing fees, i will be stopping at my last one. Taking another 35 cents off of all the other fees Ebay charges, it doesnt make my time worth while for an item im only asking 5 bucks for. I sell an item and get charged a shipping fee even though it cost more money to ship then what i charged. Sometimes people dont take into account the cost of shipping on an item which is why sometimes i dont offer free shipping. Everywhere you turn on Ebay there is a fee. PayPal takes a fee, listing takes a fee, shipping has a fee, selling has a fee. Why not charge a fee just for logging in to Ebay! Sure Ebay needs to make a buck but maybe if you made it possible for people to make a good buck themselves, more listings and sellings would happen.

So, with only 2 more free listings left, i better make it worth my while.

Try selling items that are worth your time, many low priced items are not worth selling online anymore.

Don't you get free listing promos?  I got so many this month that I never used any of my original 50.

Seriously, stop wasting your time here. Nothing sells anymore and the rest glitches. Just read the buyers forum. Lots of complaints about errors at checkout. This place is a bad joke. These forums are comedy. I just feel bad for those who take this platform serious like it’s a viable option for selling

Ditto.  Just blew thru 500 free listings that overlapped the last 100 free.

This is why I have a store. I don't have to wait around for freebies. I just list my stuff.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Since it takes the same amount of time to photograph, write up a description, package and ship, I try not to list anything for less than $20.00 unless I can purchase that item at a very good price.

So..........with 50 free items......you pay NO fees until you sell something.

You know what the fees are and presumably know how to calculate them before listing.

You can list with calculated shipping so the shipping paid by the buyer will cover your shipping costs.......assuming you put in the correct weight, and dimensions, if necessary.

So why would YOU list an item for $5?

You control what you list and how much you pay for an item.......  if can't make money because of the cost......don't buy it..........if you can't make money with the fees......don't list it.........  it isn't rocket science.......

I generally don't have to wait around for freebies either ... they just show up. This is why I don't have a store.

I often wonder whether it is luck, or whether eBay notices which sellers are willing to pay for listings and which ones aren't.

I don't pay for listings on my other accounts, and they don't get them that often, either.

I don't know, and don't really care. I can spend $22/mo on this account and make it back 10x, or I can not spend it and sit on my hands and wish I were selling more.  The choice is mine, and I choose to spend a little bit of money to make more money.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

seems to me they offer freebies to those that regularly use up their monthly free listing allotment.
