I just listed two used Easton baseball bats. Both the same bat, same model but different amount of wear between the two. I would have listed a multi-quantity listing but the bats had enough differences in wear I wasn't willing to take that risk and the complications that come with it. So I created two listings. Immediately after listing the second one I noticed the first bat was gone. A moment later the first was also gone. Then a few minutes went by and the first was back up. I can understand why they do this for items that are truly the same but I'm selling two unique items in that they have different amounts of wear. I even made sure that the titles were different enough to not cause a problem as I've done this with other items and not run into any problem. The thing that really gets me is the missing listing is not in unsold or drafts. It's just completely gone. I mean that's just ridiculous. No email or anything just pull the listing and I've gotta start over or wait until the other sells before I relist it. Any one else experience this? Thank you

sad right? sorry your lost your work. We are simply not in control of things anymore. Computers just don't get the human factor.

I admit I am not completely sure, but I believe the “bots” compare 2 listings, including especially the description, to see if they are “identical”.
Do not copy word for word the descriptions.
Make the texts on both listings significantly different and maybe even laid out differently.
I have also had occasion to list 2 items that were substantially the same but different enough to cause me to do 2 separate listings. I have even gone so far as to have the titles read “******* #1” and “****** #2”. With that little legerdemain on the listings I have not had a problem.

so maybe they should eliminate the "sell similar" button - I do the same thing adding something different to the title but in this case he clearly stated he made an effor to swith things up
