It's not just the view counter....

I'm still clicking in solds and going to other pages, now active items. I'm clicking on my items in my eBay and going to different items. What the H E double toothpicks is going on with their site. It took them an entire year to fix the calculated shipping overcharge problem. How can anybody continue to use the same people over and over who can't fix the problem. I know the overseas guys are cheap, but come on already. At some point you have to put together a COMPETENT team eBay.

Without naming names one of the largest software companies in the world can't develop to spec and all their engineers are right here in the USA.

Most people underestimate the shortage of talent in some industries and there aren't as many competent devs in the world though and while we'd all like to believe this isn't true it is.

FYI this isn't site wide. My sold items and completed listings are behaving as they should and similar to how it was before they rolled it back due to the backlash and improper implementation of suggested items.

the truly really smart tekie guys aren't working for sites like ebay - they don't pay them enough. My friends husband just got out of the navy - he didn't want to re-up. Here's the crazy thing - it's like once they get past the guard house gate there's like  a line of dudes waiting to give them a job as a sub-contracter paying them almost anything to land them. Her husband had a job waiting for well over $100,000 a year. The military wasn't going to up his pay that much if he stayed. This "comany" gave him a car, moved all their stuff from Guam and helped them find a really nice house near DC. The government spent 8 years training him - big investment on their part - they didn't want to lose him to the private sector.
