Hi Everyone! I am seller and want to share my postings to my Facebook page. It is an option under "Share Listing" but when I choose Facebook it states "user opted out of Facebook". I have already used the Social button that is now a new option in my store and connected with Facebook that way. Why is it I cannot share my posting? I tried researching and every time it says go to "site preferences" under settings in Myebay but there is no such thing.

Has anyone figured this out? Or have any idea why it will not let me? It will let me share to other sites but not Facebook for some reason.

Could you be a little clearer? Are you trying to connect from a PC or a phone? Are you trying to connect from the Share button at the top of a listing (right side) or are you talking about the new Social Media tool some people have received in their Seller Hub>Store?

@davenportpm1 OK, wait, I think I might have the answer. I believe you are talking about trying to use the Share button at the top right of the listing page.

My guess: You have a personal FB page and a business FB page. If you go to FB right now, which one are you currently logged in as? I'm guessing business. Switch to personal in Facebook.

Now, come back to ebay and try sharing from the listing page share button. It should work now. Presumably you want to post to your business page, but it is showing you as your personal page, right? So where it says Share to News Feed or Story, click the down arrow, and select share to a page you manage....choose your business page, and go ahead and share.

Let me know if this fixes things.

Trying to post to my Facebook business page. I will try that technique you mentioned and see if it works. I rarely go to my personal page anymore.

@pburn Too true! I tend to think of user-driven support forums like the good old days of the BBS.

The upside to this one is that it isnt using an algorithm to show me content it WANTS me to see, nor is it scrolling ads in my face, but absolutely it exposes me to all the cynicism and ranting that makes social media the cess pool that I find the antithesis of good mental health.

I will definitely think about reducing my time here and stick to just a set schedule for just a few opportunities to share in ways that help. This borders on sounding facetious, but I assure you it is not.

Thank you for your help! It fixed the problem and it works! The only thing is that it posts to my personal page and not my Facebook business page. That's OK, maybe it will drive more people to my business page. 😀

Same thing is happening to me and its frustrating. It was awesome to have a listing go straight to Insta and FB when it was created.

Its happening to me when I create a listing now. It used to post directly to my Insta and my FB business page. That is what I want it to do when I create the listing. It tells me I opted out. OK, how do I opt back in?
