I see lots of other sellers selling "other" brand building bricks, including many who are selling Hasbro GI Joe sets. However, every time I try to list them, they are removed as "counterfeit". They are legitimate, branded and licensed building sets. Does LEGO have eBay by the balls to the point that a person can't even list a competing product? What gives???

What do Hasbro GI Joe sets have to do with LEGO?
LEGO does NOT make any GI Joe sets, so if you listed them in the LEGO category, that's where you went wrong.

Not sure I understand.. Is it real Lego? Is it real Hasbro? Is it real GI Joe?
You say "other " brands..
IF your listing is not Hasbro or Lego and is an off brand, then you can not list as Lego or Hasbro.
You can not even mention them in your listing.

There is no "lego" category, there is a building toys category, and these products were made by Hasbro, who owns the GI Joe license. They are building brick sets, compatible with major sets, that are made by Hasbro. Nothing counterfeit or illegitimate about them. It's ridiculous.

There are other brands that make compatible building bricks. Hasbro is one of them. They own the GI Joe license, and I was trying to sell Hasbro GI Joe Building sets, but they have been removed twice, while I see other sellers selling the exact same items. I did not mention LEGO in my listing.

Huh?

If your item was removed for VERO once, putting it back up can not only get it removed, but get you removed, permanently from selling on ebay, if you continue to 'relist'.
Stop worrying about what 'others' are doing. Those 'others' either haven't been caught yet or have a reselling agreement with the company that is removing your listing. If I have an item that is copyright protected, I can choose also who sells my items.
Because ebay allows items sold from countries outside USA, the compromise with Verified Rights Owners is that they will remove listings with just 1 notification from those VRO's.
There is no trial. Simple removal and a notification that you received telling you they removed the item and also telling you to NOT relist it.

No one seems to be getting it. "Others haven't been caught yet" makes it seem like WE are doing something shady, while it is eBay doing the shady biz. Let me reiterate: I am trying to sell LEGITIMATE BRANDED LICENSED HASBRO ITEMS. Not "fakes" "knockoffs" or "counterfeits" of any kind. Two sets of construction bricks that were bought in a retail store. Other sellers are listing the same items. The EXACT same items. In fact, if you search "hasbro gi joe buiding set" you will get 150 listings of the same items. It is not illegal to sell "other/compatible brand" building sets: Mega Construx, Hasbro, Lite Brix, etc., there is even a category for them. But for some reason, and I did NOT reference LEGO or any other brands in my description or title, my listing was flagged as a COUNTERFEIT and removed. I understand why they removed the re-listing, but removing it the first time was unwarranted and seems like a move by eBay to eliminate competition to Lego.

Jesus Christ, you went through every listing of mine to try to find one that was non-authentic? And in the description I clearly state that it is an overseas version - there is no deception whatsoever. People sometimes collect all versions, including overseas versions because they're affordable. Selling something AS authentic when it's NOT is wrong - identifying something clearly so buyers know what they're getting is not. But you clearly have no life since you scoured 150 items on Thanksgiving looking for a reason to slam a seller who has been here over 20 years and has 4x more feedback than you. LOL, enjoy your holiday.

@rogues_bounty this is not allowed. The item above can be reported for everything in the listing.
There is a special category to report unauthentic / fake items.
If you want to keep selling here you should remove all this type of listing.

You are not allowed to sell things that are fake.
How would you feel if you have a copyright on a product and sellers from another country just ignore it and sell fakes at 1/10th of the price; stated as 'fake' or not.
11-25-2021 11:57 AM
Disclosing the item is not authentic, does not make it legal to sell. It is against ebay policy and against the law to sell any infringing product, no matter how you label it.
Now as far as your other listings that were removed. Did you get a VeRO notice?

No, didn't go through all your items, just the one. Got lucky I guess.
If you've been here that long, you should know that you can't sell fake items, no matter what you call them.
