I’m a pretty casual seller at the moment, so it doesn’t matter...
But my late shipment report doesn’t make sense.
5 lates:
1. It says no buyers marked me late in one one section but says that one did in another place.
2. Two marked as being shipped late show TRACKING that I shipped in one day when my handling is 2 days
3. There are several that never got a carrier scan at all. This is my fault? LOL, do I get a refund from USPS?
How does one manage or mitigate or control this system? If I ever DO amp up my activity, which I at least fantasize about, I’ve been disqualified from any perks before I even started.
No “it’s an evil plot” assertions, please, or I’ll have to get out my tin hat.
But SOMETHING is weird or warped here.

And just to make matters WORSE, it looks like EBay did not actually void a label I absolutely DID void - it flashed me a message at the time that the refund takes several weeks. Yet that label shows as ACTIVE but never mailed. And, no refund.

It takes them up to 30 days to refund because they wait to make sure it isn't used. I from time to time have to void a label and I always get my refunds eventually.

YES, these are the rules in which ALL sellers operate under if we are going to sell on this site. If you spend a little extra time with your Dashboard and look at things closely. There are explanations, reports and information on the Dashboard that will help you understand each section.
Look at it closely. Click on things to see what new information it will show you. It is all there.
In particular to what you are speaking to, there are three ways in which an item would be considered as shipped ON TIME. ANY ONE of the three ways is enough to count it as an on time delivery. 1. When the buyer leaves FB on the item they check the box that the item arrived on time. 2. The package gets scanned received by the carrier within your stated handling time. OR 3. The delivery scan happens within the ETA delivery window on the purchase record for the transaction.

I may have to just let go of this metric, then. I AM NOT standing in line at the post office to insure a scan. Meeting my own handling time is the only one of 3 steps in the process I have any control over.
The St. Francis of Assisi prayer comes to mind, LOL.

You can meet your handling time, but if one of the three ways of confirming that are not met, you will get a late shipment ding.
If you are having trouble getting your carrier to scan when they pick up your items, call the carrier's office.
For example, I do most of my shipping from home, via USPS. In my mail box or as a carrier pick up. My carrier is next to perfect about scanning my packages when she pics them up. If I were to start seeing a change in that, I would talk to her first and if that didn't work, I'd call my local PO and get this matter fixed. And they should fix it.
If your experience is different, the go to USPS.com and file a complaint. It works. If you file a complaint on the website, you will get action. I always have.

Thanks, I’ll look into that.
But there is still something confusing me.
At least one of the packages shows scanned in one day, for example, when my handling time is actually two. Yet I have a late ding for that one. For some reason it took a little more than a week to arrive but we’ve had wild rains here and I don’t control the post office.

If you have double checked your handling time on this listing, you can post your payment and scan details for us to check, or if you are sure of those, then it has to be a mistake. The arrival date does not matter if you have the proper scan.
