I already have buyers asking 'can't you just ship it for cheap in an envelope' when they don't see first class shipping in a listing. 🙄
Good luck with the big change everyone!
Change your first class listings now, since the next shipping day is Monday, after those services have changed.

I hate change. Nobody hates change more than me.
I'm actually not that stressed out over this change.
The only difference I can see is that i'll be selecting "ground advantage" instead of "first class mail"
when I print out a shipping label.
Am I under-thinking things?
The biggest pain for me will be correct the text in my listings that say
"This item will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail".
I plan on making that change gradually, little by little.

Nothing would change so why would any buyer ask you that? If you are NOT showing it shipping 'Expedited' (Priority) then why the issue?

NEVER change the way that you ship an item at the request of a buyer. I will worry about this tomorrow or Monday.

I hate change too, but TBH, I kinda like merging First Class with Parcel Select ground and moving Parcel select into 5 day ship over an 8.
Also, now you don't have to deal with a shipping service that ends at 1 lb.
I think this is how it should have been for awhile.

What? I don't understand what your trying to say? The price for items that are 1oz-15oz are essentially not changing. I haven't had any issues.

The title of the service has certainly changed, so yes buyers are getting confused. They are used to seeing first class for the cheapest option, and now it is not there, so they assume they are paying some sort of premium for postage.

I understand what you are saying but I wonder how many buyers actually look at the shipping tab to see what service is being used. I think that most will see standard shipping near the top of the listing and not worry about the service.

why would u ship something in an envelope via 1st class postage. there is no tracking and the possibility of taking negative hits on your shipments is a great possibility. In the older days one could do this but now no way.

Plenty of Sellers are successful using regular first class letter postage for low-value, low-scam items like stickers and greeting cards.

Went to the post office today. Asked a clerk I know if he was ready for Monday and Ground Advantage. Not sure how confident they are this is gonna go smoothly. Kind of a drawn-out, sarcastic, yeah.

My post office were acting very energetic and positive about it.
Parcel select being a 5 day service giving me options outside of UPS, I'm happy about it.

I'M happy about the built-in insurance. That was the one thing I disliked about First Class Mail.

All first class packages have tracking, and have had it for at least the past eight years. Just like 'Ground Advantage' will.

Could you please double check this on your end?
I am seeing for example,
5 oz package
First Class .. $5.40 - $5.85
Ground Advantage .. $6.99 - $9.03
