I’ve read a lot of eBay members advice stating it’s a numbers game. I have tripled my listings from 100+ to 300+ and the opposite has happened. I was shipping about 10 items over a week end and this past Monday only shipped 3. This makes no sense to me. They also say keep listing. How can I do that when my items don’t sell? The goal is to make enough sales to live not to fill up my house. I am so disappointed with the results of all my efforts I’m ready to give up. Help!!!

No way to guarantee a certain number of sales no matter how many listings you have...... Sales on a short term basis really don't reflect long term results.......you can't extrapolate since you sold 6 last wk, you'll sell 6 this wk. (or month/year).
You just have to keep plugging along, if you have good products at good prices......the sales will come. They will be up and down.....that just the way retail sales are........

Ebay refuses to invest very much money in advertising especially in comparison to all their new online competitors who advertise all of the time . Their competitors understand the value in advertising as much as most other successful companies do as well . Millions upon millions of dollars are spent on advertising every year and the reason it is because it works . E bay is no longer the only game in town but it's still acting as if it is . Tulips

Then tack on the difficulties with search , never ending glitches , payments that won't go through etc etc ,, then it's pretty easy to understand that buyers are beginning to go elsewhere . Tulips

Were all in the same boat. 😞 I have not had a sale in 4 days. 😞 It seems to go in spurts with no rhyme or reason!!

Just to let you know how we compare. I have about 250 listings. I average 2-3 sales a day. Once in a while i'l have a 0 day. Once in a while i'll have a really good day like 5-10 sales.
With 300 listings i would think you should have at least 2-3 sales a day.
Good luck selling!
