Is Lego actually reporting Oyo sets as counterfeit? And ebay takes them down? Am I missing something? Oyo is a USA brand and I bought the set at a toy store. Now its taken off of ebay?
Is this a legal thing I don't know about?
- Your listing was reported by LEGO Juris A/S for violating their copyright. eBay’s Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) program offers intellectual property rights owner(s) a way to report listings that they believe infringe on their rights
- Unauthorized copies of copyrighted material are illegal, and not allowed on eBay

Lego won a dispute against Oyo for infringing on Lego's copyright. Even though you may have purchased Oyo item in a retail store (it is still in violation of Lego's copyright). Oyo stole Lego design and manufactured items under Oyo name.
Most brand name companies hire cyber experts who use Ai to search web (all marketplaces) and sue anyone who is in violation. Often time, these law firms threaten to sue you unless you pay money they demand.
Do not relist this item as EBAY may terminate your account permanently. EBAY takes copyright violations very serious.

Did your listing have the word "lego" in it?

Looks like it...you sold a Oyo set a while back...and that sold listing was taken off even if it was sold which is odd. I cannot see the listing when I click on it.

What was the item number? I can't find any listing in your feedback that has OYO in the title.
However, I did find a cached page of this listing 186794703129, dated 12/2/2024, which has since been removed. You can see the cache here:
NHL OYO GameDay Rink Set Nashville Predators Zamboni Cam Talbot Figure | eBay
There is no mention of "Lego" anywhere in the title, item specifics or description, and it was not listed in a Lego category either.
Only the main picture is clearly shown on a cached page. Did any of the other pictures show anything made by Lego? Or was Lego mentioned on a package visible in a picture?
You also mentioned a Zamboni set, and a Cam Taylor figure/minifig. Were either of those by Lego?

Hi, this is the set/listing yet. Lego was mentioned nowhere on the listing. I sent an email to the address listed who filed the complaint and have not heard back.
The item sold and I see plenty of Oyo sales and listings if I do a search. Not sure what the problem is...especially after the fact.
Also, ebay denied my appeal.

Thank you caldreamer. If this is the case, I understand.
