So I just got this message on my buying account from ebay-- "Leave Feed Back Now" for 2 specific items, 1st is a sale I made that the BUYER IMMEDIATELY CANCELED, Really? What kind of feed back should I leave for this guy? I can't state the truth correct. 2ND for a purchase I made from a seller who shipped my beer tray in a PRIORITY FLAT RATE BOX completely covered up in Kraft paper with no padding just thrown in the box, with a EBAY Shipping label that was for 1st Class Mail and the weight was 1 lb 12 oz. I wanted to neg him but I decided against it, now ebay rehashed this ill will I have for the seller because he is a thief. Really ebay, LEAVE FEED BACK NOW?

Got one of those reminders recently.
Buyer purchased on Saturday.
Planned to do shipping for the weekend late Sunday night, or Monday AM.
Sunday the buyers messages asking to cancel. I comply.
I'm out the listing, and the PayPal $0.30
I suppose I could leave the buyer a AAA+ thanking them for requesting to cancel rather than filing a false SNAD that would cost me shipping fees both ways, and give me a seller defect. (would need more characters allotted in feedback space)

And like I stated in another thread starting May 7th we will be losing our entire Pay-Pal refund on all cancellations from these buyers. I may start leaving feed back then

How did he ship a Priority Mail box with a First Class label on it?
How can a First Class label be for 1 lb. 12 oz.?

There is a communications setting to turn off feedback reminders. It’s one of very few specific communications eBay actually lets you control.

I have no idea how he did it, but he did it. covering the medium flat rate box up is what really got me peeved as well as printing a 1st class label.

I'm pretty sure that ebay will NOT LET YOU print out a First Class label for more than 16 oz. You just can't do it.

If any of the Priority box was showing the seller probably got a chargeback generated by the APV that USPS started.
Today my wife got a box (10X6X5) with a Priority Flat Rate envelope postage label.
Yesterday she got a Priority "Shoe Box" with postage paid at the 2# rate. Box weighed 4-5#.
Both were coast-to-coast.

Simple... The one you think and believe they deserve, that's how you protect the online community.

You mean he was so lazy he did not even use free padding provided by the USPS?

Yes. my mistake. the label was printed at FC 14 OZ. all 13" and 12" beer trays have the same approximate weight and I knew there was no way possible the tray was 14 ounces. I weighed it and it was 1 lb 12 oz.
