While spending time doing research using Terapeak I noticed what appears to be more higher priced identical merchandise having a higher sell through rate than the lower to lowest priced. A surprise to me was that a majority of them charged for shipping instead of offering free shipping.
Depending upon what merchandise you research the figures may skew differently. I was researching a specific type of merchandise and the results pertained only to that merchandise.
If sellers are equally ranked (based on same day/next day shipping, 100% positive feedback, no defects, very low rate of returns, detailed descriptions, etc.) can it be deduced that eBay is giving Search preference to middle to higher priced identical listings? Could the higher price mitigate any extra percentage eBay receives from a Promoted listing?
