You are correct in this. There are some who actually admit they are buyers, not sellers, who come here to put 25+ anti-seller posts in each thread and want to give advice? Go figure! I personally, do not read them, just skip over them.

Yes, they have sold here and most currently still do. They use posting I.D.'s.

Respectfully, it is, as I have most recently read, and you will note that I did say that the posters admitted to not being sellers, just buyers, so not a rumor if that is what was stated in the post. Therefore, not my opinion, it was, in fact, posted that way. Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I remember someone (Alan or otherwise) stating that that was one of the rules. 

The comments above sounded like they were heading toward the kind of complaints we see from someone who looked up a poster's feedback and noticed that it was all purchases and no sales, followed by a triumphant Ah-Ha! moment from them when they believe that they're on to something, but neither of you are novices here, so I was a little puzzled as to why the conversation seemed to be going in that direction. No worries...

Oh ok thanks for clarifying! Maybe I misunderstood myjunque but I thought she was referring to the buyers who admit they are only buyers but advise sellers and tell them what they are doing wrong. I wasn’t thinking about posting IDs, I know there are quite a few posting IDs that really are sellers under other IDs 🙂

I just tell hubby those are "rescue" purchases. Not a whole lot of profit, but if they are in great enough shape and the price is right, I buy them. They deserve to live on in home where they are cherished....I'm just a temporary foster home.

Saw a couple of pieces of OLD carnival at the thrift recently. My first thought was Fenton. Priced sky high and beat all to heck. Made me so sad....

Doubling your money overnight only applies to ebay the other sites it doesn't work real well. You take a $100.00 bill that you'd use to purchase merchandise to resell on ebay you fold it in half and put it back in your pocket and go take a nap instead. You've been mentoed on ebay....

Mowcowcorner, instead of saving the piece of glass these days I try to save my fellow ebay poor seller. I see that piece of old glass and there's already one on ebay not selling dirt cheap, I just drop it on the floor at the thrift, oops! Just made it more rare. 

Bubbleman, remember when I'd look at completeds and see a red line in glass for some item and pity that poor seller as everything sold, the rest was a sea of green. 

Then we had to get a little more picky as some things just weren't selling like they used to. Then we had to really buckle up as the competition was getting rough and less and less was selling on ebay. Eventually that day came that you are talking about putting that money back in your wallet where it belongs. A successful thrift hunt these days is coming home carrying zero packages, it means I am wise to ebay.

ersatz I helped a couple stranded Canadians Sunday put their truck in my shop and repaired it. While there they wardrobed shopped they though they'd died and went to USA Levi heaven boyfriend & girlfriend each got levi jackets and each 3 pair of pants and I tossed the girlfriend a couple victorian perfume bottles. I think all she could speak was French,but the bottles made the day that started out bleak look so much better....
