Harrowing afternoon/evening.
Was getting ready to dive into the 1/2 bathroom with the cats and some couch cushions for head protection.
Tornado spotted out by the islands here (Tybee/Wilmington) but no injuries/fatalities. Some property damage and power issues. Less than 15 mi away.
Yeah, this will likely be moved to some board I've never been. Too bad there's no consideration for the regular selling board members too who make this place work.

Glad to hear you're doing okay and that damage in your area was minimal. Stay safe! Sending good wishes your way for calmer weather. ![]()

I am glad that you and your cats are safe.
The cat in your avatar is adorable.

So happy to hear you and your kitties are safe and that you escaped the worst of it.

Hang on, I am sure we can bring this "on topic" to stay in the forum...
Let's talk shipping. Do you think eBay will note this weather advisory in the announcements?
Did you have sales that will be impacted by "late shipping" from the tornado?

LOL - No. No shipping issues here. I would need sales in order for that to happen 😃 May has been... ummm... less than stellar. lol I don't like to complain about slow sales even when they do suck.
I've spent a lot of time refreshing listings, but it seems few need china and flatware when the season moves to paper plates and plastic forks. My time will come again.
Thanks @smabrouk
She's as goofy acting as she is goofy looking. I mean who has a Boston Terrier cat? She's a gem.

I may go hunting tomorrow for some new merchandise, but with 100% rain in the forecast, it's not likely. I melt yanno - sugar and the like.
I could go through the big tub o' flatware and polish the silverplate up. There's value there if I put in the elbow grease. There's also 2 or 3 plastic shoeboxes with stainless to be sorted and ID'd.
Oh, and there are 3 banker's boxes of doo-dads staring at me saying "List me!!" And a bunch o' teacups needing attention. (those will go to the shop though)

That seems like a great use of time during the undesirable weather to me!
It feels like eBay listing prep is never-ending at times. ![]()

The bin of silverplate is over a year old. I'm sure some of it in there is 2+ years.
When I moved to this house last July, I put it under my desk - and there it lives.

I am surprised with you about the silverplate being idol for that long after all the help you gave me with mine getting started! Tisk, tisk! Now get your gloves out, find the silver polish, do some stretching excercises and 'git 'er done 'cause it sure ain't gonna polish itself! You can DO IT! Here's an inspriational picture for you.

Don't look under my desk ... or in the closet .... I've got stuff from 2013 that's just now getting pulled out to list.
We keep finding things that we don't remember buying LOL. It got inventoried and stuck in a box for "later".
We did not purchase one thing for resale in May and only one set of Mikasa in April that is almost sold out already (that was a good deal ... 30 pieces for $10, made the 10 back plus on the 1st dinner plate).
But I have listed consistently for 2 months on just "laters"

One cat slept on the back of the couch (normal spot). The other, who is usually on the back of a couch too, was napping on the loveseat in the area without the cushions. It was interesting to her afterall. The cushions were in the bathroom lol
The "laters" have a way of building up. I've really slown down on buying the past few months, but some things are just a must.
We have a little temporary sunshine this a.m. and I'm fighting the temptation to go look.
