I doubt the buyer cannot read, it is just your assumption. Did you go back and look at your description after the buyer told you the problem ? Shipping depends on which choice the buyer makes when filing the claim. If it was an INAD case you will have to pay the shipping. If they choose ordered by mistake they pay shipping.

I'm seeing alot of your items as "buyer pays"........that would depend on what reason he chooses when he does a return.......  If he chooses Not as described........you are on the hook for the return shipping, no matter what he says in an email.......  If he chooses "ordered in error", he's supposed to pay the return shipping..........

If you have "seller pays"...........that means you will pay no matter what reason he gives....

You offer 30-Day (Buyer pays) Returns. Are you saying that a Return request has been opened and a Not as Described reason was cited? If so, then the MBG overrides it... and the seller pays return shipping. Dang it.

If the buyer filed an INAD, you pay return shipping, if you want it returned before refunding.

Have a great day.

The buyer didnt open anything yet. He just messaged me saying he wants to return it cause its not what he thought it would be.

In this case just tell them to return it and you will refund when you have item back.  eBay is not involved in this yet.  Just know that if they do a formal request thru eBay for not as described then you will have to pay return shipping.

Got it. If you respond to the message, you could suggest the buyer open a Return. Or the buyer could open a Return on his end. No way to know what reason he'll give at this point. But... if he chooses a remorse reason, he'll pay.

Hopefully they'll choose the correct reason for the return, if they do and they'll pay return shipping.

Have a great day.
