You guys are the best at this sort of thing, so here I am.
My daughter sent me these pictures. Phone pix, so sorry for the quality...lol!
She tells me my grandkid says her friend gave it to her. Both girls are 14...
Daughter has texted the other girl's mom, currently waiting on a reply. We are both kind of freaked out that it may be real...
Any chance this may be valuable? What would you do?

The "gold" looks like it's wearing off in spots. Take it to a jeweler and have them test it for you.

Thanks.
It may be plated, for sure. Wouldn't the mark have more info in that case? That's what's throwing us off.
It's obviously old and grubby as all get out...
We know next to nothing beyond blatantly costume stuff. LOL!

Looks like 18 karat gold to me.

Breathe on the stone.
Does it immediately clear up or does the fog remain for a bit.

Take a magnet to it..a pretty strong one. Gold is not magnetic. If it is plated, or gold filled, it will be magnetic. If you can't get to a jeweler, a pawn show will tell you if it is real as well. I just took some broken gold jewelry in to do a quick sale. They can also tell you if the stone is real or not.

Then it is not real.
When you breathe on a diamond, it clears almost immediately.
When you breathe on a CZ, it will remain foggy for a bit.
I am trying to find confirmation if it may be 18K gold washed - another term for plated.

Take it to a pawn shop. They will tell you right away. I sell scrap gold all the time and that actually doesnt look like 18k gold. It is to gold looking if that makes sense. It should be a little shinier I think. Anyway, just take it to be checked. If it is real gold you have about 150 or so in gold. The gem is also easy to test. If you want to do it by yourself just buy a gold kit and a gem detector. It is actually fun.

Thanks again, Em. All this is good to know. I'm so far outta my league here it's kind of amusing.
