Looks like an old caulking gun to me, but I'm just guessing. I actually have no clue.

Not a caulk gun in the normal sense of caulk guns.
We get aircraft fuel tank sealant in tubes about the same size of a large tooth paste tube.
We have an air powered gun, but the concept is the same.
OP any makers name or model number on it ?

Very similar basic design especially the grip and quite different from the grips on most of the actual caulking guns or grease guns.

This 'device' looks like those 1960's RUBELLA SHOT (Innoculation) GUN used in public schools by the nurses. After received a 'dose' of this thing it would actually leave a ROUND SCAR that would remain permanent for the rest of your life. I'm just guessing but I'll NEVER forget that day I came into contact with that stuff!
