oK I must be bored today (nothing selling, go figure!) and I'm noticing all these titles with spelling goofs and laughing my bleep off at some. Selvedge (I would think they mean salvage or selvege?) As if it's not hard enough to get things sold, I'm pretty sure no one will search a misspelled word but who knows? Maybe I'm wrong and that's why my stuff isn't selling. ![]()

Grammatically.
*evil grin*
From time to time I will use the common error in my titles since someone is likely to be Searching on that.
Tolkein/Tolkien or Heinlein/Heinlien for example.
My favourite (British spelling!!) was when DD was looking for a particular Canadian made trailer, BOLER out of Winnipeg. Cutest things you ever saw.
We kept finding 'boler ' hats and 'boler' jackets.

@reallynicestamps, I was just trying to see who was paying attention.
I actually don't have any favorite misspelled words. I'm shocked every single day when I see them.
Sometimes I search for choker necklaces and I'm always aghast to see how many titles say Chocker.

To add to all the discussion about this starting example ... in some industries, they use the word "selvedge" to mean what a seamstress or someone who makes quilts or clothes would call the seam allowance. They spell it the "archaic" way, and this is in the USA.
My favorite typo I have seen is leaving the letter "r" out of the word "shirt". Don't know if anyone has mentioned that, yet.

lacemaker, I used to make a similar typo.
At one of my jobs I was constantly typing "ship to" on one of the forms.
If I was typing too fast the p and t were sometimes transposed.
Yikes, good thing I always caught the typo before sending the form!

@partial*eclipse wrote:My favorite classic is "bowel" in place of "bowl". There are 81 hits for "bowel" in the "Pottery and glass" category. You can buy mixing bowels, punch bowels, crystal bowels.
Say those a couple times, just hilarious! oh I mean helerious lol

that reminds me recently when a customer wanted to return a shirt. they wrote me an email but left the r out of shirt. I got a laugh out of it, but did bring it to their attention.
