Mailed an item to Oregon Oct 12 from Indiana. Since then, its hit Guam AND HAWAII and is now late and the buyer, who is also a seller is being impatient and says this was a bad transaction. UGH! You would think a fellow seller would be more patient.
I have put in a "find my package" request with the USPS site and have messaged the buyer hoping he will be patient. It IS still in transit but its sitting in Hawaii having a cocktail and a poo poo platter.
The USPS says it should arrive Oct 27 while ebay says its late.
Can't believe my package has seen more of the world than I have. I'm jelly!!!

I've had that happen at least 3 times this year. Off to Guam, through Hawaii and then eventually to the buyer.

@heckofagame good to know im not the only one. Just kinda bugs me a fellow seller would be so impatient. To say its been a bad transaction when he knows its not ME that did this. I shipped it the same day he ordered it. The post office called me as soon as I put my request in and laughed with me that my package went that route.

I have seen packages going from here (Socal) to Las Vegas via Boston or to Phoenix, AZ via Miami but your package is really getting to travel, nice!
Regarding the impatient buyer who is also a seller, you can't fix stupid...
happy holidays.

I ordered a cell phone case from a seller in California. The next thing I know, it's in Guam (I like to check the tracking). I contacted the seller and they sent another one, which luckily knew to fly East.
I eventually got the Guam traveler a couple of weeks later. It was squashed pretty flat. I think the initial trip goes by air, and then corrections are made by sea.
To their credit, the Guam post office re-directed the wayward package right away. I think it made a stop in Hawaii, which would make sense.
This is just the way it is these days. The tracking will prove it.

Hope my items arrive in good condition. Worries me that it went around the world and who knows what damage it may incur. I sent a package to Brazil with 6 card sets inside, 6 months later it arrived back to me because buyer never picked it up at customs. Each set was still in pristine condition and I was able to relist them. But yet something I sent to a state 45 minutes away got stomped in a mud puddle and the contents got wet and ruined.
Ya just never know.

That has happened several times in the last couple of month’s unfortunately however they all eventually were delivered. Don’t issue a refund though

Hopefully it will get there before the "due" date ebay gave me of Oct 28 to resolve this case. Usps says it should arrive Oct 27.......crossing fingers!

I have one that keeps going in and out the door of the Kent Washington sorting center. Maybe it keeps changing its mind as to whether it wants to brave the wind and rain.
"OK! Imma going! Ooooohhh - it's raining sideways! Check me back in again!"
"OK! THIS TIME IT IS ONWARD TO SHORELINE!!! AAHHH! A tree just flew by...Check me in again!"
It has had 4 tries so far

@chapeau-noir man...that has to be frustrating!1
Glad you have a good sense of humor about it. Hopefully your buyer is a patient kind person too.

About the best you can do at the moment since the buyer has, I assume, opened an INR case is to respond to the case and upload the tracking information showing the item in transit. You should also note in the response that you have opened lost/missing package cases with USPS and include those results if you have a response back from USPS.
While it may not be all that helpful this would be something I would report to the USPS IG. While aligned to the PO the USPS IG, like most government organizations, does not report to the Director of the organization.

Thank you. All done. I messaged him three times through the INR case with updates and the tracking # showing its still in transit. I even signed up with text updates so Ill be notified when it moves. Got a text just now saying it will be on time Oct 27. Buyer has not responded. Tracking shows I opened the case with USPS, then they closed it after they called me. Thank you for the link. Im closed down for the night but will look at the link tomorrow!

We had one back in September that needed to get thru Memphis and onto a Buyer.
Someone suggested we touch-point e-bay on social media and ask for a little extra time - and they did. We showed them that it was "tardy" (hate the word late), but still motoring along and would be there shortly. They agreed and assisted with a short extension to allow for the parcel to arrive.
You might do the same and I really am sorry your Buyer (seller) is being a putz on this. Unless you are shipping insulin, a few extra days is just that, a few extra days.

Thank you. I will reach out to them tomorrow when I get home from my day job. Cant hurt to try!

Hopefully OP's package takes the platter with it and delivers some to the buyer.
