Item specific glitch is NOT resolved

I tried bulk relisting this morning and the item specific error did not pop up, however when I click on a listing the size specific is NOT filled in unless I manually add it to each individual listing (as well as other important ones but I am so overwhelmed with this I can only focus on one at a time)

I got through half of them before I just got frustrated and relisted all of them ....so the ones I did NOT edit were allowed to be relisted but they do not have the size so who knows if they will even be able to be seen in narrowed searches

So my jeans alone are going to be missing size and style and all the IMPORTANT specifics that WERE ALREADY IN THERE unless I still go and manually change them in all of my 3000 listings

And the new ones added don’t make any sense

Why do I have to specify that they are JEANS and again specify that they are for WOMEN when they are listed in the WOMENS JEANS category????

This is NOT resolved until my important specifics are RE-ADDED and I should not have to manually do it myself this is absolutely ridiculous!!

Not trying to tell you what to do.......but I'd wait a bit to see what they do.....  It's entirely possible that changes could wipe out any work you may do.......

This is so sad... We just sold our stock a week ago thank goodness... because they are dropping...

Can we have some communication regarding this issue? It looks like you guys simply ignoring topics about it. That's a real problem and we don't hear anything back from ebay.

 

It's been 2 business day when buyer are unable to search clothing items by size in most of categories, that is seriously affecting our sales. Also item specifics totally messed up.

 

When it's going to be resolved? Are you going to fully fix that mess or we should start manually fixing every single listings? Why there's no communication from ebay?

I started using my time spent here elsewhere and now im too busy making sales to even fool with this.

That sounds more like a bronze lining  or maybe even  polished pewter  🙂 . I don't know what's going on  either . There's been quite a few glitches to deal with while trying to list . For some reason the category section  were supposed to choose from has been covered up with something that looks like graffiti . Tulips

Your announcement stated that searching by size on the left side of the search was fully restored.....it's NOT.  I just tried a search on a brand of clothing....no way to search by size.

A bit off topic, but I have never even seen some of these crazy sizes. Overwhelming for sure.

Hey, Alan. Glad you are on top of this...BUT I am not understanding that sellers were left with figuring out their own workaround due to this eBay glitch since Tuesday, 10/15, that if they end their items, do their workaround of ending, then relisting....(which seems to work), they would "suffer" the following posted by the Seller Team you referenced:

 

"We’re aware that some sellers have chosen to end their listings and use the ‘sell similar’ feature to change the information in their listings. We do not recommend doing this. However, if you decide to, please 1) check your remaining free listing allowance first to avoid incurring additional insertion fees, and 2) be aware that ending a Good ‘Til Cancelled listing will remove its sales history."

 

I guess I am just not understanding. Not being snarky, but this glitch was not User generated. Thanks for all of your help.

Could you put your recent reply you made here re: the updated Seller Team link as of 10/17, 11am or so,  at the very top of the Seller Board? I didn't get a Revised Announcement notice and I am signed up to get them...it may also help with new threads being created as we speak...Again, thanks for your help with this...and just noticed...I sure hope this announcement was not just made in the Seller Hub board where I never go.

Usually I have regular steady sales with no complaints and was having my usual fall ramp-up in sales, then my store went dark on 10/15.  Nothing since then save for a computer keyboard. 

 

Nothing personal to Trinton, Brian et al., and usually I don't complain, but come on, eBay, time is passing and there is only so much time to get the winter clothing up and running or the season is gone and we're left with stock on our hands. You have one job - ONE JOB - and we pay you to do it.  This should NEVER have been rolled out now, and never in such a sloppy, amateurish way.  ONE JOB.

ETA: The steps they state they have taken (not blocking relists due to IS, etc.) have indeed been done - I can relist again, but the problem remains on the buyer end of not being able to search and seller end in having to change IS's.  I changed 50 and then gave up on the strength that our work may be undone if there's a roll-back/automatic migration of IS's.

Thanks. As I said, I don't ever go to Seller Hub as don't use it and felt the issues with Seller Hub did not affect sellers being able to not list. Thanks for the info. Hopefully, this "revised announcement" can be posted at the top of the Seller Board and any other Board it impacts.
