@dhbookds

I just read the policy page (posted by @janet9988

"In addition, top models from luxury watch brands (e.g. Rolex Submariner, Omega Seamaster, Breitling Navitimer) are also eligible regardless of the final sale price for auction-style listings."

evidently certain brands go automatically, so it's probably the Cartier

Wow, so even if it's old, broken, sold for parts, (conceivably even if it is JUST a part with the name brand on it).....and sold cheap......then it has to make an authenticator pit stop, whether the buyer wants it to or not???  What if luxury brands are just listed as compatible with a part--does their inclusion in the title or description trigger authentication?
And by the way, are buyers INFORMED (before they buy, or at least WHEN they buy), that the item is going to take longer than normal to reach them???  And do they or the seller have to pay anything extra for this service?

Did you read the pages other posters linked in their comments? If you read the pages, between the two of them and the links on those pages, all your questions will be answered.

EBay's New Authentication is a Pathetic JOKE !!!!! I sold a Pair of Versace Chain Reaction Shoe's that were no Question the Real Deal. My Reason given was Unable to Authenticate which to me means he has NO IDEA WHAT HE IS DOING. These are Not Nike or Adidas. Ebay says they are not allowed to say what they found was Fake which is more EBay Bull**bleep** to Screw the Seller said it is a Trade Secret LOL. I have sold 100's of Shoes on the Internet or Local for years and Never had a Fake. EBay Authentication Program is a CLOWN Show. The Shoes I then sent to Stock X and were Verified 100% REAL also local Nordstrom Store that Sells Versace Verified they were bought there and are Real.
