Item not received, how many times can a buyer get away with it?

Hi, I have an International buyer claiming item not received, it is a country that US tracking does not seem to track to so the Tracking says

UA944944578US

Processed Through Regional Facility

Dec-12-18, 09:16 AM, JAMAICA NY INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER

This buyer has left over 30 feedbacks stating either item not Rec or item refunded, the Not REc feedbacks are NEG & the refunfd are Positive, how many times can a buyer claim item not Received? Seriously Ebay has to do something. I blocked every country that comes up with a UA tracking # but this one slipped through & I sent it like a dope.

They will get away with it as much as possible if sellers aren't reporting them each and every time.

You need to get them on record. Report them and draw attention to the multiple INRs they have claimed. Nobody can be that unlucky. They are abusing their MBG privileges. Maybe call CS as well and report them. I'm not sure if CS takes reports like that, but it's worth a shot.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

I did call Ebay & got no help on the phone. Then I reported the Buyer with the link & respoded to his claim asking if there was a problem with his address since he is missing so many items. I hope Ebay helps me on this one, I have been burned many times

Look up the buyers local post office and give him their contact info. Offer to contact them yourself and file an official complaint about the missing package if he's to busy to do it himself. The right kind of helpful suggestions sometimes result in missing packages being found.

Ship Internationally to Delcon countries only, anywhere else Priority mail only then watch the orders dry up, Priority tells the so called " buyer " there will be tracking confirmation and they are absolutely not interseted in parting with the payment for the goods received, Doubt whether E Bay will care, I had a women from Portugal over a year ago with around 80 Negatives left out of the last 100 so called purchases as INR, called, reported - Nothing - she's still here today, still claiming every bit of mail goes missing, still doing the exact same thing.

What kind of package was this?

  • Large Envelope/Flat  or
  • Package/Large Package

What country was it sent to?

I did a google search, and I found some posts that said that tracking #s starting with UA were for "Large Envelope/Flat" and that those do not have tracking once they leave the USA. they said you need to choose "Package/Large Package"  to get tracking to the destination.

Unfortunately the buyer is international as mentioned in the OP so none of this is really going to help.  Especially since he is in a country which does not have E-Delcon service.

Clearly from the feedback he leaves, he is well aware of the technicality and uses it to his advantage.  When an item not received case is opened, the sellers have no choice but to refund either willfully or forcefully by eBay.

Any sellers who ship internationally need to block all countries not on the E-Delcon list or ship using the Global Shipping Program.  Period.  Without that viewable online tracking showing delivery, you are setting yourself up to ship merchandise for free and have the privilege of paying the postage to do it.

Sorry this happened to you!

@tellmemama

Someone who's modus operendi is stealing from people on the other side of the planet might get squeemish at the thought of you poking around close to home.

It shows "in transit"

What country did you ship it to and how did you ship it?

Portugal is in fact one of the e-DELCON countries, for what that's worth. Perhaps she's in a town with a post office that never bothers to scan its international packages.

The Country is Mongolia, and it was shipped 1st class International Package. I should have read all of his Positive feedback that he left and I never would have shipped it

I'm aware Portugal is a Delcon country, ( I made sure mine was received ) My point is she has a ridiculous amount of INR feedback left 80 out of 100 when she purchased from me over a year ago, since then over another 100 INR feedback, she has page after page of Red INR feedback left, she purchases almost daily for free, how is this even possible when it is such blatant theft ?

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I didn't think that a UA tracking number is for first class int'l package. How much was the postage?

I realize that even if it was sent with first class package that there would not have been delivery confirmation to Mongolia but I'm just curious if a UA tracking number is for a flat or a package.
