Hi, I have read the boards and see that other sellers are having the same issue as I am. I receive an email from ebay that says I have 240 items with specifics missing.!..
I always fill out my item specifics.
One glaring error I see is that for shoe sizes.
If i have a pair of shoes listed as size 10. the previous IS dropdown was "us 10". now the dropdown has "10". so basically ebay is flagging all of my shoe listings and claiming that I don't have she shoe size listed.
This is not something that can be bulk edited.!.. I am hoping that this is just part of the transition to the new Item specifics and that ebay will eventually manually correct all of the item specifics that were actually input correctly , but now ebay changes the way the item specific is listed! uggg..

Trinton's no longer a member of the Community Team, so he's probably not going to reply . . .
There have been a lot of threads on this topic, though, so you're not the only one. I don't know the answer, but if someone doesn't come along with a response soon, you could search the "Community" for "item specifics" in the search field.

Yes, i did do a search. I read through the replies. I haven't seen any viable response.
who are the new ebay employees that monitor and reply to the messages.
@shipscript any ideas of solutions or suggestions?

I'll let you tag them yourself, if that's okay with you, so you can pick one (or more): Tyler or Brian (they've been around awhile) or Brittanie (she's new) . . .

Bulk edit with a file download/upload.

hi, I have downloaded the file with my active listings that need editing. however. the dropdown menus don't contain the options...
for example. in a upper material for shoes.. an line item says it's missing material..but when i click on the drop down the choices are 0 m w b etc..

theoretically, this solution looks promising, however, none of the dropdown menus are populated with the correct item specifics i have to choose from.

I just relisted a whole pile of items. Quite a few of them were flagged as missing ALL of the item specifics that are, actually, still in the listings.
eBay basically has dropped the ball on this, not even being able to do the kindergarten task of being able to recognise with the item specifics are actually IN the listings. I swear, if I were this incompetent in running any of the businesses I have in my lifetime, I'd be living in a cardboard box.

Every night i go through a few of the 50-something listings i have that need item specifics updating figuring i'll get them all done eventually. Kinda like homework.
Although, i am unable to complete ALL of the item specifics. Some of them are just so stupid and do not make any sense. Drop down menus with no correct answer.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

It would seem like there is always someone that says, 'Hey, I've got an idea! Let's do IS this way'. A few weeks later, someone else says, 'No, I think it works better if we do it THIS way'. Then, a few weeks later, ....

And the entire time they're drunk.

What is getting beyond annoying is fixing one and having to come back and fix it again a day or 2 later. Secondly, eBay refuses to address the fact that if there are Required and/or Suggested Specifics, do not trigger an error message either when you create a listing or going in to modify any current listing. Now the Books category is being adversely affected.

^^ This. And, if that's not annoying enough, I was going through my 'required specifics' - the required specifics were blank in these listings, BUT WHEN I LOOKED AT THE ORIGINAL LISTING THEY WERE ALL THERE. **bleep**???

ROLF - **bleep**...it went **bleep**. Watch those acronyms, folks.

The listings i have only say recommended item specifics so should i just assume i am not missing any required ones? Anything required should be flagged separately you would think
