Item Returned

I sold an item that was to ship from CA to NY. I tracked it, and last I checked it said out for delivery. I hadn't gotten any feedback on it, so I checked tracking again and it was being sent back to me! About a week later it showed up on my doorstep and someone had crudely written in green marker "Postage Due" and "Unable to Forward". Also there was a sticker over the address label that said "In Dispute". I have no idea what's going on. I contacted the buyer to ask if he moved or something, and he provided me with his address which was exactly the address that I sent to. I want to re-send it to him because he's paid for it, but I don't think that he or I should be responsible for shipping (again). Why would the item be out for delivery in his state on the other side of the country but it shows up at my house a week later?

Maybe you can go to USPS.com and enter the tracking number and see what USPS tells you might have happened.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did that, and it only says it was "Delivered" ... to me.

What does it say as to why it wasn't delivered to the buyer -or- why it was sent back?

By any chance, was this item originally sold to the Biden campaign?
