eBay has removed the item number from the "Your Listing is Live" e-mail. Anyone know why they have done this? It makes it a pain to mark inventory with the item number. You now have to open the item and search for the number one at a time. Thanks.

Listing numbers are displayed in the Seller Hub -> Active Listings.
If you are marking inventory you should use the SKU field and come up with your own numbering system.
The problem with using listings numbers is that if you end the listing for any reason (other than sold/paid/shipped/not returned) and then later list it again the old listing number is useless.

Thanks. I am aware of all that, but for my inventory it is better to use the unique item numbers.
eBay just removed the item numbers from the e-mail for no apparent reason this week. Probably unreasonable that they will see this and switch it back.

They periodically mess with the titles of the various emails....... the "sold" emails garnered alot of outcries not too long ago, as many used something in the title which was removed. As I remember, it was soon reformatted to include the "vital info"..... so complaining about your problem may do some good, if others follow suit.

You could work from any of the other easier to use methods than email? I haven't done anything on ebay related to email in darn near 20 years.
