This is ridiculous! I would rather pay the minuscule extra and go back to the old way with Paypal.
Ebay is charging more and giving less, I hope this company fails and goes out of business.

eBay isn't holding the money..
They are using a payment processor, like Paypal it's just not Paypal..
I believe the name is Ayden.. (Somebody will correct that if I'm wrong)

I think it's Adyen, but pronounced like Ayden but I'm probably wrong

You must not know anyone that buys, gaming consoles, pc video cards, Nike sneakers, Pokémon cards, Magic the Gathering cards, comic books, baseball cards, football cards, and basketball cards. All of the above are very popular with the younger buyers these days.

White collar employees at 3M get paid once on the last day of every month.

While I myself don’t like having to wait the extra day(s) to get the money, one thing I do like about the new system is that eBay deducts the fees from the payout, so at the end of the month I don’t get stuck with a disappointing bill that I sometimes can’t even pay because I didn’t budget for it ahead of time. This newer system of paying the FVFs as you go works out much better for me! I have adjusted and moved on.

The price of a companies stock is not an indication of market value or how successful it is. The worlds most profitable company Apple has stock price of $124 per share. Apple’s net profit is almost 3 times higher than Amazon’s over the last 4 quarters. Apple made slightly more than 70 billion in net profit versus Amazon’s 26 billion.
While Warren Buffet’s company Berkshire Hathaway is very successful and has per share stock price of $428,814.00 per share using your theory that a higher stock price means more success you would thing it made a lot more money than Apple. However, Berkshire’s net profit last year was about 55 billion.

You obviously don’t realize with any business whether it is Wallyworld, or your local mom and pop restaurant unless the customer pays cash the seller doesn’t get their money right away. In both cases, the customer walks out with the merchandise or has eaten the meal before the funds from credit/debit cards are deposited into the businesses bank account in 2 to 4 days.

I think 2 days to get paid is not big problem.
Moreover, we can save money when Ebay total charge is lower than Ebay Fee + Paypal Fee.

They are not holding any cash unless they think there will be an issue with the transaction or the seller is new. You obviously either don’t use a debit card or never paid attention how long it takes the funds to actually leave your bank account when you do use a debit card.
When account holder uses their debit card to pay for an item their bank will put hold on the funds in their account immediately but the funds won’t actually leave their account for 1 to 3 days. This is why the eBay seller doesn’t get paid right away.

They do as well as other businesses. Unless the customer pays cash Walmart has to use a payment processor to process their electronic payments which is how most people pay these days. They do not get paid instantly when a customer uses a credit or debit card.

No, jmcv... I roll with the punches because that way I continue to be a successful seller here. I haven't been selling here for 23 years, have over 85,000 successful sales, and am approaching 10,000 feedbacks by complaining and looking elsewhere. I won't tell you how much money I've made here, but let's say I am very, very comfortable with accepting, adjusting and adapting along the way.
I've voice my opinions along the journey, and they haven't all been positive to Ebay. But I'm not one to go along with the lemmings who use a knee-jerk reaction and want to jump ship and try to infect others to follow.
Complacency and resignation is what happens when people become disillusioned and bitter because they want Ebay run their way, not the way Ebay sees fit. Guess who wins out in the long run?
Cheers, Duffy

"So they chose a bad solution. Paypal was instant, and since that is no longer available they should have done something to maintain the same level of service."
I vividly remember all the kicking and screaming when they first introduced PayPal. This all makes me laugh.

"I lost 4 credit cards to bad internet security. Not paranoia, but fact."
Having been the victim of full blown identity theft I wouldn't wish it one anyone. It took me two years to straighten out and the help of law enforcement, as well as countless letters to all the credit agencies. Not to mention the humiliation when my checks were shoved back across counters with statements like "Well, you must have written a bad check here". My drivers license and library card were stolen at work and ended up with a ring of check thieves and bad check writers in California's central valley.
I have had both my bank accounts hacked and hundreds of dollars taken. The first time who knows where. The second time I believe was a liquor store in town, they used my card on Valentine's Day to send thousands of dollars worth of flowers all across the country. I now have parameters on both accounts to stop activity like this. A bit beside the point but your bank will do the same if you ask.
I have never been hacked as a result of ANY on-line purchasing. I feel safer here than my bank's ATM.

yea - more of a chance of having a credit card number swiped in real life than online. same with bank details. no encryption in real life.
