My sales have plummeted back to pre-pandemic 2020 levels.
I haven't seen sales this miserably bad since February 2020.
Looks like the only turkey for Thanksgiving this year is ME.
Can't even imagine what the week before Christmas will look like. . ..

My employer sells online and thru multiple B&M stores. What I've noticed this year is that the B&M stores are making money hand-over-fist and they are having to restock every other day to keep up with demand. Online sales, however, are flat. I guess buyers learned something from the last 18 months of USPS not being able to keep up with demand and have decided to 'shop local' and make sure they physically have their gifts in hand and in the condition they want the moment they pay for it. No waiting for the seller to ship. No waiting on the carrier to deliver. No worries about porch-pirates and mailbox marauders. Just an afternoon out shopping and then there's nothing left but the wrapping!
If you want to be really cynical, you could blame it on the Federal Government for stopping those additional checks for people who decided it was more profitable to stay unemployed than to get back out there and work. I didn't have that luxury - our stores were deemed "essential" due to what we sell, so we all got to work thru the pandemic. And the few folks who did apply for the positions we needed to fill either wanted way too much money for the job, or they worked just long enough to renew their unemployment eligibility and get back on the dole.
It's going to be quite a while yet before things find a new 'normal', and I doubt it will be exactly like the old normal. I'm just praying they don't muck up my SSI before I can start to collect!

Deja vu is a feeling of experiencing something again.
‘Deja vu all over again’ would then be referring to the third occurrence.

Consumers are scared president Briben is gonna find more ways to hurt them, and they are cutting back!

ROFL - oh please. Stock market is up, labor market is strong, spending is up. People are just sick and tired of online because, guess what? Humans are analog.

The saying "It's deja vu all over again" is one of those humorous misstatements attributed to former New York Yankees baseball player Yogi Berra. Yogi was well known for his mangled commentaries.
I guess I should have used quotation marks the first time around; but I thought most folks would have known the original source of the quote.
Sorry for any confusion.

Same Here it's going to be a tough selling season. I am heading to Walmart today to Get a couple of Hungry Man Dinners for Thanksgiving after ebay sends my payout.

You are correct. In January 2020, I sold about $400 for the entire month. In the past week, I am about $50 on here; before fees. At the flea market yesterday - almost $550! This includes no sales in the last 90 mins. I was there. Made that sum in 5 1/2 hours. eBay is pathetic! Worldwide eyes on our listings & we get nothing but disappointment except for the random good day.

Those “worldwide eyes” might translate into more sales if you didn’t indicate “NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS” in your TOS.

During Holiday seasons if you are not selling items that are generally used as gifts (like the OP) you should expect sales to drop. Some more than others depending on actual demand. There is only so much money out there.

Without more context, it is hard to comment.
How much have sales plummeted?
For how long?
Was is a decline over a period of time, or a sudden change?
Some sellers here have had wildly different definitions of "plummet", "bad", "stopped", etc. A while back one seller said his sales had "dried up", but when questioned further it turned out his sales were down about 15% from the month before.
So I'm just curious to hear more about how bad "bad" is.

And if both of you are the “food,” eBay will be the people sitting down at the table, ready to eat the food.

My sales have plummeted 65% since this past summer.
Hopefully that will be clearer.
