eBay locked everything like nothing is selling
In order to sell more stuff you have to pay eBay a couple bucks or you will never sell anything
With this act you’re pushing sellers outside the business

What I did when we started MP was set up a checking account specifically for Ebay and the other sites I sell on. All the money filters into this one account. I always leave enough money in there to cover any monthly fee I have on any site so there is never an overdraft situation. They are so darn expensive these days anyway.
I transfer money out of this account into my regular account as needed, but again always leaving enough in the account to cover fees. It keeps me out of trouble for sure.
I also have a credit card attached to my account. So should you for that matter. Why wouldn't ebay charge your credit card for the monthly fee if your checking account didn't have the funds.

New policies and untested ideas by incompetent people that continue to push a failed idea forward are the reasons sales are horrible. Our sales tumbled and never recovered after October 2021. Thats the time when ebay "streamlined" the categories and add pointless irrelevant item specifics all while pushing promoted listings which cause listings to get so buried no one will ever find them. Even using keywords to search. The sellers I spoke with who used promoted listings found themselves working harder only to make less. Now 2 years later they are scrambling to balance things out by manipulating the algorithms all while heading in the wrong direction. I also think buyers HATE all the distractions of seeing endless ads that do nothing , but clutter up sellers listings.

You should get a calculator and do some work, if you are getting those phones cases for Free the MAX you are walking away with is 50 cents each. If you are paying anything for them (50 cents or more) you are losing money on each one that you sell.
FYI - The buyers of phone cases have left the building, there are better places to buy them these days.
Better prices
Better selection
Faster shipping
All can be found elsewhere.

I've never experienced that in the 24 years I've been selling, eBay's tolerance for incompetent sellers has definitely increased over the years (too bad they waited so long).

You likely will be disappointed / disheartened for a long time if you want to compare sales to the Pandemic years 2020/2021 and actually through the at least the beginning quarter of 2022. Sales during that period were an anomaly for most. I sure know my sales were excellent.
As people moved back to working outside the home, internet sales on all kinds of sites went down, not just here.
You would be better served to compare what is happening to your sales now to 2019 and before. You seem to be getting about 100 sales per month the last few months. From the amount of listings you run, that is a bit low, so I sure understand your concern.
Oh I am so with you on the PL showing on our listings. I wouldn't mind them so much if they appears BELOW our descriptions, but Ebay seems to be deaf on that suggestion, which I've made more times than I can count.

LOL - I know. I doubt completely that that is what it actually looks like. I've seen a lot of clip art and that looks like clip art.

With only 97 listings why are you paying for a Store?
Without a Store eBay would never need to dip into your bank account for fees.

It actually is objectively true. Comparing all current seller and buyer Ebay policies, the seller policies are unnecessarily adversarial and punitive. By any objective measure.

Thank you for the advice on the isolated acct. just for eBay. As far as a CC, I don't have one. I got rid of mine in about 2007. Enough of that ridiculous interest rate! This was when your fees would be in the $100s! Too easy to just let the card pay it & use the funds for other things. lol

I used to have 600-700+ listings. I still plan on building up my listings. Just trying to figure out my best strategy. What to list. I have some things where I have 100s of each. Might try a bulk load of similar items to see if that attracts certain collectors.

With 11 items listed you have sold four.
That's a pretty good turnover in a saturated category.
OTOH I'm not sure you can call those cases both "unbranded"and "iPhone 11" but I don't sell mass manufactured merch so others can correct me about the VeRO status.

This is in the listing (sub-title which I assume is inserted by eBay).
You are allowed to state what phone it fits since without that information it's totally useless to anyone.

There is definitely a problem, and I don't know if this all changed when they did the stupidest thing they have ever done and eliminated the Categories and then added a bunch of specs that rarely can you even check. I did a search on a camera I had listed, and mine was not showing up, I knew it should have had more views than it did. I tried several different title searches, and still it wouldn't come up. Then, alls I did was remove the word VINTAGE, and wow, the camera all the sudden was in the search list.
I had a very rare teakwood Kalmar set, and just the coffee pot, creamer, and sugar was selling for about $275.00. Mine still had the teakwood tray in perfect condition, and also this was all in it's original box. I might have started it at $175.00. This set was on ebay for a long time, and was not getting any views at all. I finally had to lower it to $100 just to sell it. We haven't ever been high volume ebay sellers, we use to sell out of a shop but have been trying to do some ebay the last few years.
We have had some stuff sell really well and we are well pleased with the outcomes. But, also, when I am doing searches, especially if it is on my phone, I end up getting auctions in the listing that do not even have the words I searched for.
I think we have been on ebay for 25 years, and starting out I remember the sellers being discontented with Ebay, but not the majority. When they did away with all these categories, I heard alot of ebayers complain about that, and it was obviously not a wise thing because if people can't find what they are looking for, then us or ebay either one is going to profit.
There has been quite a few items we have listed that should have had alot of views but didn't. And when doing searches, I see that items I have $25 on, ends up selling for someone else for $40-45. I see this all the time that we rarely sell anything for the same price as other ebay sellers, I don't think this problem was bad until they did away with the categories.
But I love to buy on ebay, I buy stuff that we can't get around here, even medical items, etc.

There is no way for you to know that without taking a full survey. Your point of view and some other sellers that post on the threads are not a big enough sampling of the 18+ million Ebay sellers to be anywhere close to accurate.
Don't get me wrong. I do disagree with many of the Ebay rules and agree with others. It is unlikely that I view every policy you view in the same way.

You only pay the high interest rates if you carry a balance on your card from month to month. I worked past that years ago. I do have a CC that I actively use all month long for just about everything to earn Cash Back bonuses. I save those bonuses all year long. It is my little savings account for Christmas shopping each year. I pay off my CC every month, so I don't pay any interest, I just earn money from it. They pay ME for using their CC.
You do have to be disciplined to do this, but I learn years ago to do this and it has served me well.
