I purchased a 2000 Ford Excursion
Seller used photos from a different vehicle than the vehicle I received.
Seller- Jeff- is Not ethically straight.
Seller Should be banned from ever selling on Ebay again
Seller had the opportunity to make it right and now will pay the consequences to a bad reputation
Ebay has all the proof and pictures
He is reported to the BBB and New Jersey Attorney General for bad business practices DO not purchase from

You bought a 23-year-old car sight unseen? Why?
Car sales on Ebay are not legally binding. You could have refused the car and not concluded the purchase. More details on what happened might be helpful.

Is that the one for $26,500 On Jan 4th?
The vehicle ID Number is listed in the listing. Did you get a vehicle with a different ID Number or was it just a different vehicle from pictured?
Did you call eBay?
I am not sure if the 30 day Money Back Guarantee is valid, but I would check into it.

Did you receive the make, model and year?
You shouldn't have taken possession if the car was materially different than you were expecting.
Vehicle's aren't covered by MBG where you can return it for a refund. Vehicle sales are non binding. Vehicle sales are covered by Vehicle Purchase Protection which is very limited what they cover. The policy says VPP isn't a substitute for buyer diligence (i.e. pre-purchase research and inspection.
An inspection by you or your mechanic would have saved you from purchasing it.

VPP is managed by an independent service provider (the "VPP Administrator") that is not affiliated with eBay Inc. ("eBay")

Seems like a good plan.
Do you think they would be covered under #1. Since he received the wrong vehicle he did not actually receive the vehicle paid for.
Hope it works out well for seller and buyer.

Why didn't you go and inspect the vehicle prior to buying? Or pay someone to check it out? How anyone can buy a car and especially a used Ford without test driving it is beyond me. I still have nightmares of the 2 Fords that I owned in the late 1990s.

You wouldn't believe what those vehicles are bringing now in my neck of the woods. Old Chevy Blazers, too.

No , mine were true duds. An Aerostar van. I got towed 3 times in 4 days. 3 totally different unrelated problems. The next month, hubbys' Mercury Sable Wagon (which is practically identical to the Ford Taurus) had to be towed 3 times in a month. The last tow was for the transmission. Have driven Hondas ever since and now we get towed only when some knucklehead crashes into us.
