I bought an expesive item from a seller a month back. The item was worth more than what I won it for and I got it at a great price. I paid right away and sent the seller a friendly messaging asking and saying I was wondering if he could bubble wrap it extra safe and that I would super appreciate if he did because I noticed he had negative feedback about damaged items in shipping. I didn't include that part I just basically said if it was no trouble if he could wrap it nicely. He cancelled the item a day later . I ask ebay what I should do and should I leave negative feedback. Ebay says he filed it as sold as the reason he cancelled . Not very professional but mistakes happen sometimes when you run a buisness I have been there. So I left him no feedback as things happen. Two weeks later he repost the item at a higher price with same pictures and description he used for the auction I won. I left him negaitive feed back stating this as I felt it was rude to do this. As soon as I left negative feedback buyer messages me tells me that he cancelled because in his words I asked him to give it a little more protection ie bubble wrap and that asking him was unprofessional.
The same Seller then that day proceeds to buy my cheapest item from me. I call ebay right away saying that I feel the seller is harrassing me and I feel like the seller is going to sabotoge the item .I ask them what to do , they tell me to put him on a ignore list (ie he cant buy from me again) and to either ship or cancel the item. I decide to ship as if I cancel he could leave negative feedback to retaliate for the past situation. I take pictures of me shipping the item I record a video of me packing it . I take a picture of me sending it to the post office. I also put lots of bubble wrap and wrap item in bubble wrap in box and give it a bigger box so if it is hurt in shipping item wont get hurt. All the while updating ebay of the sitation recording 1-1 file claim phone call numbers . I send it priority so it gets to him quicker .It gets to him in two days , after the day he recieves the item he claims item was damaged shows me three pictures of the box looks like it was stepped on an and last picture of a piece of the item ripped off . The item is all plastic and the only way that piece would of come off if it was ripped out of the peg and there was no way shipping damage could of done that. I call ebay they said in order for anything to happen they have to file claim and then ebay will look over the case. The person I talked to in the latest update said to message the buyer and tell them that when I sent the item it was undamaged and if they would like proof to send it to them, so I did that.
I dont know what to do I feel upset and angry that someone can bully me like this. I am also worried because ebay tends to side with the buyer in most situations but I feel like this is a special case. Has anyone had a situation like this where they left negative feedback for a seller and then they buy an item from you? If so what happened in the end?

Buy on a buying ID.
Sell on a selling ID.
Post on posting ID.

That is why most of us have separate accounts for buying and selling.
I had a situation where someone did not like the advice I gave him on the fine jewelry board and tried to mess with my account.
As far as you advising the seller to use more bubble wrap, many sellers have become so nervous that all buyers are potential problems that you may have spooked this seller. So he cancelled the listing thinking you may be a problem later. What was the reason he used to cancel the listing?
As far as buying from you as retaliation, that is so unprofessional. Make sure he is on your blocked buyer list.

What did the notice from ebay say? Was it out of stock?
If so, he received a defect. It does not take more than a few to lose your selling privileges.
Just make sure he did not use bogus buyer requested or problem with address.

What is a buyer ID
Seller ID
Poster ID???????
Thanks I appreciate it, as I am new to this. I am a buyer now but considering the otherside of the coin. I have bought over the years one or two items here. Lately Ebay has become my go to place for a wide variety of purchases. My first experience last 2 moths was horrible. Won an auction never recieved coin or reason from buyer-zilch zero nada! And he still has a 99% rating. Anyway,.........
I made a mistake in buying an item I thought was, well something else. It took me a day to figure it out long story short I sent a mean reply received one back and immediatetly I apologized. I have sent the item back (I also repackaged way safe than the seller did). I totally did not see he didn't except returns and explained how I made the mistake. Hey, 99% of the retail stores if you return with receipt and say you got the wrong item will refund, store credit or have you pay the difference or receive the difference in price and you walk with your item. But to go retalitory the way your guy did is definitely wrong. Ebay should give the guy a chance to save face or boot him off ebay. We all have bad days and maybe lashing out at someone over something that is totally unrellated. We are human but acting in good faith or professionally should be the standard.
I wish you the best on your case with the seller
PS reread the post and I understand the different IDs........but I did ot know you could have a poster ID how do you do that????????

notice from ebay said he sold it off ebay it was not out of stock when I bought it I won it in an auction.
ebay would never send a notice saying that. There are 3 reasons the seller can choose from when cancelling:
-buyer requested
-problem with buyers address
-out of stock/unable to fulfill
If you received a cancellation notice from ebay and NOT just a message from the seller, then the cancellation reason is one of those ^ 3 reasons.

If he sold the item on another venue and did not cancel it before you had a chance to win and buy it, then it was out of stock.
Whether it was true or not, does not matter. He received an out of stock defect because he told ebay he did not have the item you won.
