Hello, I recently sold a brand new Bulova watch to a buyer who says it arrived used and malfunctioning. Problem is, the watch was sent directly from Jared to the buyer so there is no possibility of me scamming him. I checked his feedback, and most of the sellers he bought from are now deleted. This is why I lost my last account-ppl saying they never received an order and such. What do you vets think? I think I'm done with ebay for good. He attached a pic of the supposed watch that Jared sent him. I'm working with them to determine what happened btw.

I ended up getting $1500 for it. I had bought a whole box of "oh it's just junk costume" for $5. There was so much gold. Evidently the woman who had owned wore her jewelery to death (no pun intended). There was so much gold in their but I had to give it to my brother to clean. I still have a rare Margot de Taxco piece that's copper & sterling. That may be harder to clean.

Sorry, OP, but you don't know what the buyer was shipped, as stated previously.
Not casting any aspersions on Jared, but such is the fact of drop shipping.

Here's what my brother stated. It IS completely possible. When ordering online it comes from a completely robotic central warehouse. The robotic arm goes thru bins, picks the items, boxes it, labels and ships. It is, also, where returns are sent when items like watches don't work properly.
He said he has seen stranger things happen.
I'm not taking sides, but if it was sent from Jared, they should accept the return. Also, if he is scamming Jared will know.

You have me envisioning one of those claw machines you find at movie theatres and such where it's 50 cents a play to try to grab the prize.
Very useful information though. Maybe the OP isn't completely out of luck.

I've worked places......
Someone could easily have bought a watch from Jared, and then returned that watch. Jared restocked it and sent it out.
When I worked retail no cashier ever even bothered to open a box to check the item. If they did find a different watch it would mean alot more work for them and likely a good argument with the returner. Easier to just take it, pass it on. I mean, really what do you expect from someone making minimum wage with huge quotas over their head?
The warehouse worker processing the returns for Jared likely are expected to process 100s an hour or be fired for being slow. It takes time to check the stuff.
As for the "how you lost an account" you do realize part of losing an account is that you cannot open a new account?

If you say so, I had an account back in 2012 with over 300 transactions. Anyway it doesn't matter I'll Just keep selling on other platforms. Good luck to you all and thanks for responding

I'm glad everything worked out for you! I wouldn't have believed he wasn't a scammer it if not for my brother. I asked him one time when a woman returned a pair of $20,000 diamond earrings how he knew they weren't switched out. He told me everyone of their diamonds are inscribed so tiny that it can't been seen with a loop. They have a special mangnifier that sees it.
I said so she rented them. He said "we don't rent jewelery" I responded "if she bought them on Friday & returned them on Monday, she rented them for the weekend, she must have had a big affair to go to"
