Is this normal?

I was sent a notice of a bid & it was cancelled hours later. What happened? Then today, I saw that the buyer changed from a bid to an offer, after trying to negotiate the price via email.  Told this person to connect w EBay Admin as I can’t.  Without any notice to me, EBay cancelled the bid & allowed an offer to be placed.  Is this normal?

The buyer canceled their bid not ebay .

It seems that they didn't want to wait for the auction to end.

Do you mean private email or by ebay messages?
