Ebay's Super Unfair treatment of my case

My account was flagged for dropshipping since July 9th. I have not dropshipped and they decided to flag my account out of no where. I filed for an appeal and it was denied, I was told I had to wait one month until I could file for a second one. I patiently waited 1 month and filed again. The second time the appeal was approved on August 14th. That's what I was told in multiple emails and by customer representatives but the restriction is still on my account. They are now telling me the second appeal was denied even though the first one went through. While my business is burning to the ground. I keep getting the same generic responses over and over again.

It almost feels like eBay employees are playing around with my account for their enjoyment. This is ridiculous it has been nearly 5 weeks already. This restriction has a very negative impact on my traffic/ impressions making my listings appear at the bottom of the search result.

At this point I am just going to file a BBB report. This has been ridiculous I have no yet received a clear and concise answer to the status of my account.

Please if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it I am getting very desperate at this point thank you.

So are you saying you never drop-shipped, or that you did and since have ceased the practice?

Common sense rarely prevails here.

Call every day and complain and eventually you may reach a representative who is sympathetic to your case.

If you in fact did not drop ship, why does ebay believe you did?

That would be a good thing to address - both in your post here, and with ebay. I don't see that you mention this in either place.

Other than that, I don't know how anyone here could help you. Ebay seems to be giving you a lot more information than anyone here would have access to.

If it were me, and I did not drop ship, I would be moving mountains to explain why they thought I did, and why that was wrong.

If it were me, and I DID drop ship but don't any more, I think the answer is that you just have to wait for your account to come back to good standing. The message from ebay says "in time, your search standings will improve". This sounds right to me.

You don''t realize how many times I called and live chat a day with them for nearly a month now and it has been a response going in circles.. My last and final option is to file a complaint through the better business they seem to have a 70% success rate regarding issues.

That is why Im filing a better business bureau complaint because the restriction was suppose to be removed August 14th and now it is still on my account. They have the power to manually remove the restriction but choose not to. You can easily look at my profile and tell that I am shipping from a physical location... It is common sense but the employees at eBay lack to see that. The only thing that seems like it would solve the problem is the better business bureau customer support has been useless.. This is worst than having an account banned... because  this is basically a shadow ban.

The way I imagine it works when you get hit with a serious violation is that (a) your account is terminated or restricted (let's say restricted in this case), (b) you clear the violation, (c) ebay sees that you are no longer in violation and they reinstate your account.

I'm just guessing here, but I also imagine that "reinstatement" does not mean you instantly go back to where you started. I believe ebay uses a system of trust benchmarks that you earn over time. The more you earn (by shipping on time, happy customers, etc), the better your account will be represented in search results.

What the ebay rep seems to be saying to you is that all those things have been reset, and you must earn them again to get things like search placement back again. That's what they mean by "continue selling and making customers happy and in time your account will come back to where it was" (I'm paraphrasing).

Again, if ebay was mistaken in their belief that you drop shipped, then I would think a full reinstatement to where you were before the restriction is appropriate. But you haven't established any basis for that. I don't even think you expressly denied having drop shipped. Was ebay right? Did you drop ship and then stop after they found out?

If it were me, and ebay mistakenly believed I violated a policy, I think I would be focusing almost exclusively on that. I would be saying "I didn't drop ship and here is why ebay is wrong", but you aren't saying that and I'm not clear why. I suspect it's because they may not be wrong. Am I correct?

If you were engaging in retail arbitrage, eBay has added that to their list of forbidden activities. I see you have been selling some of the same items found on Amazon. So, Is that what they cited you for? They suggest in their communications that you had a serious violation. It's not unusual to find the same things for sale elsewhere, I am just trying to understand what your situation is before I can offer any real assistance.

There are tons of dropshippers selling on eBay.  That's where most of our food is coming from.  I buy it here and it comes from Sam's Club, or WalMart or Amazon.  Normally I would be very upset...but these are not normal times.

I'm not sure about the OP, or why they are being singled out....

No, most the items I sell are sells I sell electronics from time to time but 90% of it are shoes. They flagged me for drop shipping in July 9th. I provided proof that I had full control of my physical inventory, yet the appeal was denied and I was told I could submit one a month later. I put in another Appeal on August 9th and I got emails in the pictures saying it was approved. I even made sure by contacting their twitter page and customer support to make sure I was 100% not flagged anymore. But a couple days later I check with them and my account is still flagged which is not making any sense. They told they would escalate the account and someone would reach out. It has been a week since that has ever happened. I contacted every single day and they keep saying someone would reach out but that does not seem to be the case at all.  I was provided mix responses by the customer support thing as indicated.  I call and live chat nearly every single day and they tell me the only department that deals with this issue is through email...

I sell mainly shoes on my eBay. If you take a look I take every single picture those are all mine. I don't dropship food or anything at all. Feels like im being singled out and no one from support has been able to provide me a clear and concise answer. First I was told I was unflagged, now I am told again that my account is still restricted that does not make any sense. And promises for someone to email me from the appeals team were never delivered at all. You can clearly see from the twitter screen  shot and the email the said with 100% certainty my account was unflagged August 14th now it is a week later and the account is still flagged which does not make any sense whatsoever.. if you could take some real employee ebays I would appreciate it. I am just trying to sell my items how it normally used to be. Also keep in my I have nearly 100% perfect metrics and because of the dropshipping flag on my account I stay above standard even though I am suppose to get top rated seller again.  I can not afford to wait another month for this restriction to end I need it done manually from someone higher up... eBay has wasted a lot of my time or I would have already sold through different venues.

Let me assure you, ebay did not pick your username at random and decide to restrict you for no reason.

Surely you don't believe that.  I don't.

inhawaii...that is unfair, imho...you don't know.  And dropshippers are all over here.  I have had multiple cancellations from sellers because it appears that the supply chains are breaking down.  I think we need to hear the OP's whole story.

You're right. I don't know.  But common sense tells me that ebay will not pick a username at random and suspend them. There has to be a reason.  There has to be more to the story.
