I sold an item Friday and mailed it (Ground Advantage) at my local Postal Station Saturday a.m. It's now Tuesday and there's no scanning shown. I would like to contact the buyer to let him know he's not been overlooked... but I am unable to find any way to write (or send) a message to a buyer. The place that looks like it is the message place doesn't work. Is this just a glitch that will be fixed... or... what?

When you click contact buyer it will pull up your messages folder with a new draft to the buyer.
Click in the text edit box (where it says 'send message') and start typing. Click the paper airplane to send the message.
If that does not solve the problem you'll need to come back and provide more details about what exactly is or isn't happening.

I doubt that it's a glitch, I would follow wastingtime 101 advise & you should probably be fine.

Thank you for your help. I have the message space, with the customers "Ebay" title and the item I'm trying to contact him about... but am unable to type anything in the space. At the bottom, to the left of where it says "Send Message" is some kind of symbol (it looks like a little square with a crack in it). Does that help?
Finally a few sales... now this.

The photo landscape icon on the left is for attaching photos.
The paper airplane icon on the right is for sending the message.
The box that says "send message" is where you need to click to start typing.
This question comes up a lot so I put together a visual - hope it helps.

We'll... that was just excellent.
I assumed that the message would go in the large empty space and you hit "Send Message" when done.
Your instructions could not have been clearer and I've already sent my message. Thank you!

Come on now---that would make too much sense.

Good to know that helped. I agree the 'send message' text is not intuitive. Instead it should say something like 'compose message'.
That said, the actual format is incredibly intuitive if you've ever sent a text message. The box on the bottom is where you type and the big space above is where the back-and-forth messages are displayed.
I realize some of the crowd on this forum is older and has never sent a text message, so it won't be as intuitive for you guys.
I just looked at my phone's text messaging app (not the eBay app) to see what it says in the box where eBay put 'send message' and it just says 'iMessage' (because it's an iPhone).
