I went from 4-9 items per day for the past year consistently to the past few weeks of barely 1 or 2 every other day.

Great response. Thanks.
I have thought for quite some time now that eBay may have wanted to more closely examine a multitude of their policies and stop with the blinder vision, which is that "this is what users want". It's what "some" users may want on their platform, not sure if ignornace or a lack of experience in doing peer to peer analysis or having that data is the issue but when we look at the data through a broader lens of what shoppers want overall this is where eBay sorely misses the mark.
eBay thinks it's okay to not fix many broken shopper funnels because buyers can "just request an invoice". Uhm, no. The only sites that require invoices are a large tier of sellers of Nike products in which an invoice must be sent to request the purchase and that's for a whole other reason, having nothing to do with the merchants site being broken. If your a large merchant or reseller then you're absolutely used to requesting invoices as well but again these are not anywhere close to the vast majority of eBay shoppers.
Used shoes are insanely harder. I honestly don't even bother but not suggesting that anyone else should take my attitude, just acknowledging that it's not an easy feat in today's buying climate. It's not just milennials. I asked around our office yesterday and not a single person shopped on eBay. Not one. But we all know where else they shop and most had Prime memberships.

I have no question in my mind that Amazons success has been the downfall for ebay. However ebay originally was for auctions of peoples used items like a tag sale and that format was successful.Amazon does not sell antiques , collectible jewelry, etc. I believe ebay is failing because they have let too many Chinese junk sellers on the site and large stores, etc. People are going to go to Amazon for those things and they would have gone to ebay for antiques and such but now they have to filter through so many pages of junk they give up. Ebay used to be unique now they are a low grade Amazon.

Yes... it appears TO ME at least that they are purging sellers and driving sales down in an apparent effort to try and boost their inane lawsuit claims against Am a z on

I know I wasn't happy when I had only 9 sales within a week's time. Now, I've had just *8* since Oct. 14! AWFUL! If this keeps up, I won't have any more fees in 2019 because I'll have 0 listings on here. Won't waste my time. Good luck to all. 🙂

But I'm not political - LOL!

What? What does any of this have to do with Ebay's lawsuit against Amazon? What makes the lawsuit "inane"? Are you of the opinion that anyone or any company can use Ebay's M2M program to do whatever they want?
How are they "purging sellers"? Not everyone's sales are down. Some of us are experiencing it, but certainly not all or even most. This is an unusual time of the year to experience a downturn, but there can be reasons that has nothing to do with Ebay trying to get rid of you. What makes you think that Ebay is trying to get you to leave Ebay? I'd like to better understand what you are seeing.

Please don't be. Maybe call CS and ask them to refresh your store.
You will get through this. When God closes a door, He opens a window.
No offense, just for encouragement.

sales have gone flat here as well, and they were fine until this past Monday. I called ebay about it (of course they dont own up to anything if something was going on) but I questioned it in detail and mentioned how there were many here who were complaining about this same problem. She said there were no known issues but it almost felt like she had been asked about this already today. Anyway, she suggested doing a bulk edit, clicking all active listings, and resubmitting them, and that sometimes does a refresh and helps. I have never done that before, has anyone else? Wouldnt that resubmit everything thats active twice?

It wouldn't let your resubmit those already listed as it would flag you for trying to create a duplicate listing.
I think what they were trying to say is do a bulk EDIT [not relist or sell similar them] on all your listings. Whether it is a small change or a large one. Submit those changes and then your listings will re-index in a few hours. Anytime you change something on a listing, it will re-index in a few hours. This may or may not help.
But chances are it will just work itself out. It could be that the category or categories you sell in have recently had a big uptick in listings added. Lots of sellers are posting listings as fast as they can in preparation for the holiday season. This affects all of us in those categories as there is a larger selection for buyers to view and choose from.

Mine are down 68%, never experienced anything like this, I have just broken the $500 mark today, the 26th, I average $500-$600 a week, for the last 6 years.
