I listed a knife as a "Swiss Army Style" knife and it was removed. I'd like to relist it, with those words removed. Is there a way to get a listing back after it has been removed for a,

VeRO Brand Name Misuse Policy

I'd prefer not to have to start all over and take new pics, etc.

If it was  VeRO take down, then no, I would not risk relisting.

If e-Bay removes due to VeRO....do not relist.  It will get removed again and your account risks suspension.

It's not worth the risk to your account - it will be found that or someone will report you and your account will probably be suspended if you do it enough

You are now on the radar.  Do not relist, even with changes.  It's not worth the risk of having your account suspended, and that's the risk you'd take.  Right or wrong, fair or not, that's how it works.

If it was removed, don't relist it or it may be the last listing you'll post here on Ebay.  Be careful.

If the item was taken down only because the title used a brand name for an item that is not that brand, I don't see why an item would be taken down again if it was listed properly without the brand name.  As long as their are is nothing on the knife or on the listing suggesting that it is that brand, why do you think there would be a problem?

I realize that people are saying not to relist just in case but I don't think that should always be the blanket response.  It really does depend on what the VERO infraction was for.

I'm not aware of a way to get the listing back so that you can relist it.

It might be worth not listing it again at all, but there is no reason why you can not, as long as the title says exactly "what" the thing is. The word style is an art reference that would apply to art. The reference to the esteemed Swiss Army, could be the problem, I dont know, mom said not to play with knives I guess, lol

I believe that VeRO take down listings are gone for good on our end, so no, you're probably not getting the photos back.

eBay goes back and forth about the words "style" "like" "similar" in titles. It used to be that it was considered key word spamming, then it was allowed in some circumstances. I'd be very careful using those terms in any listings.

The disappearing listings/photos is one of the reasons I save the photos I take for listings forever on an external hard drive. Like a chargeback at the 4 month mark, when the sold listings are no longer available for us to see on eBay's website.

I would not be afraid to relist the knife, that being said I would probably put is away for a year or so then start over with new pictures, new description, new title and not use any brand names other than the one that the knife is.

I would be very careful with vero take down.  I have been threatened with lawsuit in the past for a take down that I didn't understand and re-listed.  It was a company cracking down on counterfeit.  I had no idea it was as I tested the product and it was professionally blister packed.

It was such an amazing copy, that I question if it was truly counterfeit.  But they purchased one from me and the barcode was invalid.

The problem probably was that "Swiss Army" is a trademark and your use of that description, when it was not associated with an actual Swiss Army knife, that caused the problem. I have listed multiple survival knives, camping knives etc. that are quite similar to "Swiss Army" style knives but I always avoided using the Swiss Army or any reference to it in the listing and never had a problem or issue.

Once eBay removes a listing I know of no way to recover the listing or the pictures.
