An Russian buyer recenlty won my laptop because I forgot to uncheck "Global Shipping Program" when I list my item. This buyer is a member since May, 2017 and has 6 feedbacks. Does it looks like a scam to you? What should I do? Ship the item or refund and relist? Thanks!

Are there any scams with the Global Shipping Program.
You might get a defect for cancelling the transaction that will affect your account, laptops are a problematic thing to sell~search laptop on the Boards. With all due respect, it is a good idea to research before you sell.
You are covered as far as getting it to KY, but are subject to the same rules that apply to SNAD. INR.
Others should be along to weigh in on this.

If the buyer paid, you ship. I don’t know why you would think this is a scam?

They'll just file a SNAD dispute and you have no way of printing them a return label to have it returned. Good bye laptop good bye money....

The GSP progeam will not accept the item because it exceeds the dollar limit to Russia, the limit is $114.00. You might want to call to clarify/confirm this and to find out what your next step is.

Should the buyer file a SNAD (not as described complaint) at a later date, ebay expects you, the seller, to paypal the money for return shipping. If the buyer does not return, you just sent them a free gift discount for which you have no means to recover.

Ummm... You do know that the GSP pays the refund as long as the seller got it to the GSP center in Erlanger safely, right? The seller is completely indemnified after that point, and no money will come out of the seller's pocket.
That's the whole point of the GSP. Or did you not know that?

Please tell me you missed the part about how this is a GSP transaction.

That is something I was not aware of. I suspect that the GSP will just confiscate it. But yeah, it's best for the OP to check.

No, I did not. The GSP may be of help in an "item arrived broken" deal, but NOT when the I phone the buyer bought simply does not work.

here is easy way for Russian guy to get a free laptop
1. you ship it
2. he received it. Starts SNAD for any reason - for example saysing that you shipped him P3 laptop instead of MacBook Pro (... rest to your imagination)
3. you done. No money, no laptop. Sending $100 to ship P3 latop back wouldn't worth it...

This is completely untrue. EBay will call the case resolved and charge back the sellers PayPal. Then they will say that there is a case pending with GSP that will determine whether GSP will pay the seller for an item damaged during shipping. In the meantime the buyer could have damaged the item all along or it could have been damaged by GSP. The outcome means you do not get your item back and you’re out $1500 for a laptop even if you have timestamped pictures of the item before it shipped and it’s in perfect condition. This smells like a class action suit and if anyone knows of one, I’d like to join it.
